" Eliminate the harassment of whistleblowers... unless they blow-the-whistle on us. "

An example of the child-like logic on the part of Dems.

They're basically children in how they act and think.

America's Constitutional-liberties are 'adult business'.

A child thinks Yes, look over my shoulder because I'm confident that I'm fooling you.

I trust Trey Gowdy yet one thing is troubling me about the hearings.  Gowdy thinks that he will get more testimony if parts of the hearings are behind closed doors and the other parts are publicly heard.  Closed hearings, according to Gowdy, cuts out the game playing of testifying and rebuttal which amounts to game playing-alot of back and forth time consuming junk that wouldn't be allowed in close hearings.  Wish someone would 'slain to me how rebuttals aren't allowed in closed hearings.  Then too, the public wants to hear all the dirty little details it suspects out of the dems or at least the conservatives want to hear the details.

I do believe hearings behind closed doors can reduce the "showboating" by some members of the committee. Having Gowdy in charge gives me confidence things will not be swept under the carpet.

That's the most we can hope for and if so we can get this thing done the right way.

So far Cummings is very collegial and happy.  So he must be thinking that everything is going his way, toward a very tidy whitewash.

Just wait until it stops going that way.  He'll be bellowing, accusing, stonewalling, filibustering, playing the race card.....IOW back to normal.

I wouldn't be surprised he is up to his neck in the coverup part of this. Remember the call that went to Issa's office by mistake instead of his about selective leaks? This fits the MO for this crowd.

It begs the question, is there anybody left that doesn't just see this type of investigation as an inconvenience to their own power / riches  ?

Just like the JFK assassination, these types of crimes now seem to be too much trouble to screw with, not for the guilty even, but for everybody else who have no time to waste outside of their self-serving activities.

It's like a détente or a truce, no crimes shall be picked or poked at; everybody will run free without rules or oversight.

Maybe Gowdy, Issa, Cruz, Lee, Sessions, or Paul have the wherewithal......but I wonder of there's anybody else left.
And that's sure as hell too few to actually make it happen.

Destruction of incriminating documents?  Obstruction of justice?

When these occurred during the heyday of Watergate, 69 people in Nixon's administration were eventually criminally indicted, of whom 48 were convicted and sentenced to prison terms.

Let the prosecutions of this administration now commence!

Is anything happening ?  Does this committee meet daily, for some period of time  ?  Or once, then nothing for 6 months  ?

I really don't know; interested in hearing what others know about it.  I'm hoping that Gowdy's got a good long run of hearings slated for the near future, so that there's minimal room for maneuvering by the criminals.

A "DOH" moment.

No, it's easier to bitch because the LSM didn't talk about it, so in his world nothing is happening.
How dare you suggest he become informed and seek out information available to all.

There is the possibility that we can become so self-educated & self-absorbed that we don't realize that nobody's with us.

My point was that 99.99% of America are hoodwinked or oblivious, regarding this criminal enterprise.  Not that 0.000001% of us couldn't be educated on our own.

Which is the point. It's up to you and all of us to become more aware of what's going on behind the scenes instead of bitching and complaining that nothing is being done.
Much is being done, you just never bother to find out for yourself, just how much is being done by the Conservative wing in the GOP.

Though you'll probably hear more about it after Nov.

You had better be right about all that.  Or I will personally revoke your press pass.
