In a future vision eerily reminiscent of the fire hoses of Birmingham Alabama in 1963, Ex "Mayor Rick Bosetti of Redding California is using his power and authority to harass , abuse and exile the homeless in his community rather than helping them. In a time when Dr. King is used a a marketing gimmick, police abuse on the poor is on the rise and city's across the country are criminalizing the poor. We as fellow Americans and member of Humanity must stand against actions like Mayor Rick Bosetti is proposing.

Think this is a good idea for your city ?

How dare the mayor do something to enforce current law?
I'll bet he's one of those evil Tea party guys, eats puppies for breakfast, lights his cigars with the souls of the fallen homeless.

She really doesn't get that society functions at it's best when everyone agrees upon certain rules.
If these homeless weren't being offered medical services, food, shelter, they'd move along, but within this small town, these services are acting like a fly-strip to keep them around.

Homeless people tend to be nomadic and move with the seasons, unless the weather is palatable, and Redding can be tolerable for year round outdoor living.
What they need to do is offer less goodies than, say Chico, or Redbluff, and virtually overnight the homeless problem would be nonexistent.

This Freshie chick is hyper focusing on an issue that does not exist, these people are homeless by choice, they choose to live by their own rules, society offers them a cot and food, "if they'll agree to the rules" and they do not, yet here this bimbet is out there bleeding heart for people that happily take advantage of her Nobel cause, like a rabbit defending a Fox's right to live near the hen house.

This chick is a myopic idiot that can't see the truth that these people aren't homeless because they lost their homes, couldn't get work, or are starving, they're homeless by choice.
If I were to become homeless tomorrow, I'd seek help, I definitely would search for this group of misfits, I'd quickly try and find work, not look for a tent and sleeping bag, doing so, is planning to not get work or a domicile of ones own, rather quite the opposite.

And quit posting this shit here, you've hit troll status.
I entertained your first post, the second I tried to reason with, the third I tried to get you to see the big picture, to seek out people willing to but a small plot of land for these people to live, but you aren't seeking solutions, because know as well as I, there is no solution other than these people conceding to the rules of societal living.

I only deleted your account, next time you're banned permanently.

No, this bleeding heart spoiled brat, born with a silver spoon surgically attached, refuses to see the truth, that she's looking for a distraction from her own personal problems enabled by parents whom now feel guilty and support her financially

Freshie, forgive your parents, tell them you love them regardless, and get a fuckin life!

I worked for years downtown Los Angeles.  Homelessness is a problem there.  Most of them are addicts and many are sick.  A woman used to sit on the corner every time I went to the Post Office.  She talked and moaned to herself, was filthy, and covered with open sores.  Sometimes she had a cat with her. Occasionally the authorities would pick her up and get her treated, but she always came back to the same spot.

You can't walk down a street where you don't smell urine or see stains along the walls, in doorways, and stair wells.  I've seen drunks passed out on the street or curled up in front of a business.  A lot of these homeless people would hang out at the park, making it hard for others to use the park, without fear of being hassled or cursed out or worse.

Unfortunately, I think we need better laws that force some type of supervised incarceration.  The cops will pick them up and take them to the hospital, but they can't seem to keep them off the street legally.  Sadly, some of these people are young adults that have been thrown away and veterans that have lost their way.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but the citizens capable of entrusting a man like him with the Presidency.
