His tweet came after a contentious interview between Tapper and senior White House adviser Stephen Miller.
Tapper cut off the interview with Miller, accusing the adviser of being "obsequious."
"I get it. There's one viewer that you care about right now and you're being obsequious and you're being a factotum in order to please him, OK," Tapper said on "State of the Union," appearing to reference the president.
"And I think I've wasted enough of my viewers' time. Thank you, Stephen," Tapper added as he ended the interview.
After the interview, Trump tore into Tapper, referring to him as a "flunky."
"Jake Tapper of Fake News CNN just got destroyed in his interview with Stephen Miller of the Trump Administration. Watch the hatred and unfairness of this CNN flunky!" Trump tweeted.
Favreau shared Trump's tweet, saying: "What'd I tell you."
Trump last week tweeted that he would announce the recipients of the "awards" on Monday.

The more I hear from and see Miller the better I like him. He is very bright and pulls no punches. Eventually the left will quit inviting him onto their shows.

Reminds me of Peggy Noonan in a way, where she wrote some brilliant pieces for Reagan, only to turn out to be a shill for the Establishment.

Maybe Favreau is an example of an emerging move by the lefties who are starting to feel less hopey about being part of a childish, retarded movement that's getting roundly destroyed. They've been getting trounced pretty heavily for the last 12 months, and it seems to be picking up steam lately.
Maybe some of the 'resistance' is smartening up just enough to save themselves.

This is what happened after the cameras quit rolling.

"You had plenty of time," Tapper said. "I let you give like a three-minute filibuster at the very top."
"You gave me two minutes," Miller shot back, later adding, "You should be ashamed of yourself. Honestly."
"This is the reason they don't put you out on TV," Tapper said. "OK? This is the reason."
"You spent the entire interview attacking CNN ... OK, so don't act all offended," the host added later in the exchange.

One of the things I've heard is that the MSM just can't stand losing the ability to tell the POTUS what's important, and how he should fit into the MSM- created narrative. All the way down to controlling the pressers and town halls and so on.
They apparently don't know how to exist in a world without all that. The exact world that Trump has created and dropped on their heads.
That's probably the biggest source of the hate. Not even the politics. The loss of their selfish, special little selves.
And guys like Miller, Bannon, Kelly, just roll over them with this new reality. Must burn like Holy Water.
