Title: Ex-Fla. Gov. Crist tweets he’s joining Democrats
Post by: Bronx on December 08, 2012, 07:15:02 AM
Another "RINO" gone never to be voted for again. Next two up...

John John Boehner and Paul Ryan.  You can ad your own "RINOS" to the list.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) — Former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, who was elected the state's chief executive as a Republican and then ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate as an independent, announced on Twitter on Friday night that he's switching to the Democratic Party.

The announcement fanned speculation that Crist would seek to regain his old job from Republican Gov. Rick Scott in 2014.

Crist sent out a tweet that said, "Proud and honored to join the Democratic Party in the home of President (at)Barack Obama!"

Good riddance!

I'd prefer that they come out of the closet and identify themselves, rather than continuing to pretend that they represent us.
The rest of the RINO's should follow him.

Now how big of a RINO do you have to be, to join the socialists? :glare:

I really don't understand the appeal of joining such a RADICAL political party as the Democrat Party has become.  You'd think even a RINO would see where this is all gonna end if Obama and Harry Reid have their way.

For democrats, it's not about political philosophy, it's about winning and staying in power.

This guy couldn't give a rat's ass about the country or the people. He's just decided to show his true colors, and join what he thinks is the winning team, to keep his own career intact.

John Boehner I can understand but why did you throw Paul Ryan under the bus?  He is one of the few people in congress who understands how to balance a check book.

He wouldn't care which party he had to join, he just wants to be back in power.  Three different parties in a few years time, he isn't anything but a politician.  He does not care about the people voting for him, seriously, dude needs an intervention.

I think THIS is exactly who the RINOS are.  They simply ran, in the beginning, as whatever they thought the makeup of there constituency was. They learned and mouthed the words of a Conservative, but their heart was never there. They are the true politician and not statesmen.  I KNOW this was McCain's history.  He settled in Arizona because of his wife. It's a conservative state, so to win, he became a "conservative, though always willing to compromise with the far left.

They are disgusting people--worse than an honest liberal.

Really... Paul Ryan and John Boehner are joined at the hip. Twins of the "RINO" kind. I can go on and on but I'll leave you with this and you will see the "RINO" side in full swing.

Read this article and if you want move just let me know. In the mean time just try and know who's who so we can get our party in the right direction.

Alrighty then. Ask and you shall receive. What would you say if I told you Paul Ryan the "RINO"....

Voted for Bush's federal expansion agenda 94% of the time

Voted for massive Bush Medicare expansion

Voted for federal intrusion into public education via No Child Left Behind

Voted for TARP bailouts

Voted for auto bailouts

Voted for the 2008 stimulus package

Voted for the $192B 2009 stimulus package

If you took Paul Ryan's name away from all these votes you would think it was a democrap or a "RINO" voting. But instead my friend it was Paul Ryan.

I couldn't understand why Mitt pick him as VP. Although I voted for them it just took the wind out of my sail.

Paul Ryan is a "RINO" my friend no two ways about it.

I wasn't talking about his record, I'm talking about blaming him for his role in ousting Conservatives from committe.
Boehnor is solely responsible for that move, regardless of what is being said.

Is Ryan perfect? Hell no, but if he can make a difference working within enemy ranks, then so be it.

I think it's worth noting, that everything that Bronx pointed out were votes under Bush. In order to call Ryan a RINO, we'd have to see the votes in context. I'm not saying they're good votes, but hindsight is 20/20/.

Did Ryan vote along with other republicans on these votes, or did he break away and go with democrats?

The Bush administration completely blew it on the runaway spending, but in Ryan's position at the time, there's a certain amount of going with the flow that is expected. It would have been pointless for him to have been the only guy fighting the Bush policies.

I guess we have a difference of opinion.

The patriot act. The failed no child left behind. The formation of the DHS and the TSA.........................

The out of control SPENDING.

Seen the DHS website lately? Think they're after terrorists?

Maybe a little, but a new priority is right wing extremist groups, (tea party types), and people that call themselves patriots.

Want a link?

Yes. Bush set the table, and Obama has been able to grab the baton and run it faster than anyone in history.

I like Bush. He made some major screw ups though.

That was my feeling. I agreed with MOST of what he did at the time, but others warned that while you may trust Bush not to abuse these powers, ANOTHER president will come along whom you will not be able to trust with these powers. How prophetic they were!  And the Libtards who complained the most about Bush, are perfectly happy with Obama's clear abuse of power.

BTW would Crist even be a "conservative" Democrat?  I have no idea what his real views are, or even if he has any.

Hindsight's 20/20.

Those 19 terrorists did more damage to our country than they'll ever know. Not only did they get our government to circumvent the constitution; they got the US citizens to go along with it.
Combine that with the fact that Clinton failed to take any meaningful action after the first attack, that 911 resulted from an utter failure on the part of our intelligence community, (considering that the terrorists were all flying giant red flags), and our politically correct refusal to profile people of middle east decent.........................and here we are.

The irony in that is you were happy for Bush to abuse the constitution because he was a republican. The same way you accurately just described Obama supporters doing the same.

Do to our fear of further attacks, and the horrifying nature of the 911 attacks on civilians, I think the entire country was willing to turn a blind eye to constitutional protocol. The road to hell is always paved with good intentions.

Exactly.

When I said that Bush set the table, I wasn't suggesting that Bush intentionally set out to thwart our constitutional rights. There's no question that his full intent was to get the terrorists and protect the American people. That original intent has been bastardized. The patriot act didn't come with any provisions for self elimination. It should have.

Democrats could have filibustered the Patriot Act...

Or, when they had a filibuster proof majority in the Senate, had control of the House, and the Presidency, they could have repealed it completely.

But they didn't...

Care to venture as guess as to why they didn't do any of those things?
