Love the work that Franklin Graham does.  Love his Dad.  I have a CD I got in the mail from Billy Graham this year.  It is called Heaven A New Message From Billy Graham.  Great video.  The Graham family has done so much worldwide.  Bringing so many to redemption through the Lord Jesus Christ.

I didn't know that Reverend Franklin Graham was in the GOP.  The majority of his congregation is.  I just thought he was indie.

No-name religious-leaders are primary glue of TEA.

Greta had him on her show two nights ago.  She's always taking her vacations to go help his missionary groups, "Samaritan's Purse', and with the "Heal Our Patriots" program.

This past year she was in the Sudan and Alaska with Graham.

I agree with him whole heartedly on the Planned Parenthood comments.  After reading the article though I was surprised that he was a Trump supporter.  I don't find anything Godly about Trump.  Warning bells go off with me every time the man speaks.  You don't have to look hard to find a bitter vengeance motivated hard hearted hateful person in Trump.  I could get examples.  Like I was reading how he said he likes to get even.  Takes pleasure in it.  The Bible is all about Love and forgiveness.  Trump takes every opportunity to share his hateful attitude and it doesn't come in line with my Bible.  That is my plumb line.
Yeah I suppose it is, if you ignore all the passages about Gods wrath, judgements, plagues he sends, and the prophesied end of the world as we know it, which are also in the Bible.

As a registered Independent he cannot vote in the GOP primary.  Too bad.

But I still believe Franklin is an honorable man with a passion for restoring this Nation to it's judeo-christian roots.

He will make no compromises with the devil.

That's the only reason I'm still a registered Republican. Not voting in the primary could mean the difference between Trump and Cruz.

In NC one has to register as republican, democrat or non-affiliated. You are correct, if non-affiliated one cannot vote in a party primary.

This will be a moment of reckoning for Trump, when half his base disappears from the scene.
Personally, I'll glory in exposing it.

I was just listening to that also, Dori.

I'm glad to hear that she is still involved with Franklin.  I pray that he is able to minister to her.

You haven't posted a lot lately.  We miss reading your posts!!

I stand corrected on this post!!  My Election Judge husband has informed me that Franklin can almost certainly vote in the Republican primary.  It is only in a run-off election that you cannot change parties.  Once you have voted, you are locked into that party until the General Election.

Sorry for my error.   :blushing:

No, TEA has absolutely nothing to with moral issues.
TEA knows that first you have to return govt to the people, morality will follow if it can.
If that is the case, explain then why it is, every last one of the TEA candidates is always out there proclaiming how Christian they are. Telling folks, "yeah vote for me because I"m a Christian too".

Besides that, I think Adams said it best.

QuoteOur Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.

We will never see a return to Constitutional governance.

Without first seeing a return to the Judeo-Christian values and morales our nation was founded upon in the first place.

Even Ted Cruz is out there saying as much.

He was up there on Fox news saying so to Hannity just tonight.

I'm not getting where the sudden animus towards Christians within TEA suddenly comes from.

But there is one thing that IS absolutely clear. The TEA movement, as part of it's platform, reiterates the first amendment right of the individual to speak their mind regarding their religion.

Especially when it comes to politicians who themselves are proclaiming to be a member of this or that religion.

Unlike the dimwits who say the first amendment does not apply to the individual.

TEA like the founders, say it does. http://www.teaparty.org/about-us/

Quote1. Illegal aliens are here illegally. 2. Pro-domestic employment is indispensable. 3. A strong military is essential. 4. Special interests must be eliminated. 5. Gun ownership is sacred. 6. Government must be downsized. 7. The national budget must be balanced. 8. Deficit spending must end. 9. Bailout and stimulus plans are illegal. 10. Reducing personal income taxes is a must. 11. Reducing business income taxes is mandatory. 12. Political offices must be available to average citizens. 13. Intrusive government must be stopped. 14. English as our core language is required. 15. Traditional family values are encouraged. - See more at: http://www.teaparty.org/about-us/#sthash.kSWqu5oe.dpuf

What are those "traditional family values"? Judeo-Christian family values that's what that means.

Because like it or not, the fact is, those are the "Traditional family Values" in America.

Not islamic, not atheist, not hindu, not buddhist.

From the very same aforementioned official TEA website.

QuoteYes, we are a Christian nation. However, you do not have to be a Christian to enjoy freedom. The Tea Party welcomes all red-blooded U.S. Citizens. - See more at: http://www.teaparty.org/about-us/#sthash.kSWqu5oe.dpuf

Welcoming all "red blooded U.S. Citizens" does not mean, to me at least, that TEA does not take a stance on morality whatsoever. In fact quite to the contrary, TEA is stating there in writing that it does. When it says "Traditional family values" and "Yes, we are a CHRISTIAN nation".

That is a moral stance, and actually not a political one in the sense that technically the U.S. is in point of fact, NOT a Christian nation.

We do not have any state religion like other nations, because it is expressly forbidden by our Constitution.

So one must assume when they say we are a Christian nation on the TEA website, that must be a moral stance.

Not a political one.

My reasoning in that is this. If it is a political one, then they are indeed advocating a theocracy, and well I for one refuse to believe TEA is doing that.

They must mean that in a moral/historical context. And surely not, in a political sense.

Seems they are the problem.  It never occurred to me to complain about anyone else's beliefs. I don't care for athiesm, but I have never cried about their right to mention their beliefs. How can they call themselves Conservative when they send secret pms to undermine opinions that make them uncomfortable?! THEY are not Conservative. They're just crybabies with control issues.
