The EU is seeking to double imports of liquid natural gas from the U.S. by 2023 as a part of an effort to ease trade tensions.
On Thursday, Energy Secretary Rick Perry encouraged the EU to buy more gas products from the U.S. as an attempt to steer the bloc away from Russian gas imports.
This comes after a 2018 meeting between President Trump and EU commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker to reduce trade barriers in several areas such as car exports.

LNG is more expensive than NG. I have no problem with selling US LNG to the EU but wonder why they buy it.
Russia is building the second NG pipeline from Russia to Germany via the Baltic Sea.

Remember when Trump went to Some EU meeting back a year or so ago and chastized them on a number 0f issues like for not paying up on NATO, then made the deal to sell them more LNG undercutting Russian prices? All the idiot msm focused on was how Trump alienated our European allies and continued the russian puppet BS....proving again what liars and fools they are

The US is the leading exporter of LNG in the world.
Central/Eastern Europe doesn't want dependence on Russia for its energy.
Hence Poland has contracted w/Chevron to build LNG storage tank farms
at Gdansk on the Baltic to eliminate this.
Additionally, this will allow Poland to export into South Eastern Europe and
the Caucuses, once pipelines are constructed.
Once fatso Merkel gets the boot, Germany will surely wake up!

Spot on, a perfect example of free Mkt concepts in action. Russia will be forced to drop their prices, the OPEC cartel will no longer have the ability to control the mkt.
Socialist countries that nationalized their oil will now be forced into considering a bit of capitalism in other areas.

Trump is forcing a realignment of the "New world order"  that the likes of the Bush family tried to screw us with.
