He's promising to write about what he generally describes as serious conflicts between the Trump transition crew at EPA and what most of us would call a cadre of determined fifth columnists within the EPA hierarchy.

Meet David Schnare, the former EPA deputy administrator who was scheduled for better things...until he bailed. The "why" here is well worth the wait...

QuoteAn unnamed career staffer told Politico that EPA employees will "fight actions they deem ill-advised or illegal by quietly providing information of what is happening inside their agencies to advocacy groups and the media."

A small group of EPA staffers began using encryption apps, like Signal, to communicate in a way that can't be tracked by the White House. The actions may violate federal records law.

Other government employees may have started "rogue" Twitter accounts to attack the Trump administration over social media, and a former EPA official suggested agency employees would boycott Trump if he ever came to visit the agency.

Schnare's resignation suggests infighting between EPA transition officials and Pruitt's inner circle over the direction of the agency. He told InsideEPA Pruitt had frozen out members of the beachhead team placed at the agency by Trump's transition team. As one of the most experienced members of the transition team, he's an attorney and environmental scientist who previously worked at EPA for more than 30 years. Most recently, Schnare was general counsel for the Energy & Environment Legal Institute.

In the short term it will be a horrendous working environment, but the "secret" lines of communication are almost always revealed, and if NSA can't crack Signal encryption, then they don't deserve to stay open.

Housecleaning will be slow. People need to be transferred from EPA into other agencies, for cooler heads to prevail.

This is just one example of the corruption of leftist bureaucracy. As indicated in the post, this is just a beginning as Trump is actually is trying to "drain the swamp".

May not have to transfer them at all! Conspiring to commit a crime is a Felony. They could be fired and lose all pension benefits! I say bring someone in from the DOJ to explain this to them and I bet these "plans" get scraped fast

I'm always in favor of shooting the perpetrators but letting a few escape to spread the word. Unfortunately there are media people watching.

If you destabilize an otherwise efficient worker, simply by transfer to a completely different agency and agency mindset (as Billy has come to convince me DOES play so heavily in such cases), you get a more humane effect. It's merciful enough to let people keep their jobs, and also efficiently fills the inevitable vacancies as government turnover both accelerates and expands under various Trump proposals.

Government buyouts could also be selectively used if insufficient evidence exists to fire a given parasite.
