"I was troubled by that," Warren said when asked about Obama's Wall Street speaking fee. "One of the things I talk about in the book is the influence of money. I describe it as a snake that slithers through Washington."
Elizabeth Warren calling out Obama — now that he's out of office — is pretty amazing as Obama is nearly untouchable — a figure Democrats and the Democrat Media Complex must protect from all criticism whatsoever. But while Warren looks like the principled and consistent one here, she has her own 800-pounds worth of hypocrisy in the room, like getting rich off the backs of those suffering from the housing crisis.
Speaking about financial industry reform in 2010, Obama vilified Wall Street by stating, "I do think at some point you've made enough money." You'd think after his record-setting $60 million book deal, that would be enough for someone concerned about "income inequality."
