Hope your right, they do like money so we will see how long it will take.

I cant find the link to the audio..but John Gibson who used to have a 5pm show on fox and prior to that had a show on MSNBC and now is a radio talk show host...said he has inside information that Olberaman was fired by MSNBC and he believes comcast had everything to do with it. Like I said I hope so.

I have been trying to make sense of the Egypt uprising. The following is what I said in another Egypt thread~

[b[Ok, I admit that I dont pay much attention to The Middle East. However, the diabolic acts happening over there boggles my mind.
I found an article I thought any one who is lacking in insight, may enjoy the read.

Dick Morris' take on Egypt~

http://www.dickmorris.com/blog/who-lost-egypt/#more-2458

This is worth the read because it is shallow enough for a mind like mine. [/b]

I have also heard on the news the Egyptians make 4 US dollars a day on average. While ago, I caught a little of Rush Limbaugh on this subject. He was saying these people spend half of their income on 1 and a half meals daily.

No wonder there is an uprising.....

Some of my former co-workers were immigrants from Egypt.  The socioeconomic status of the average citizen in Egypt is very bleak.  They have elections for president but Mubarak does not allow opposition.  The country has been under "emergency law" since the late 60's.  This allows the government to imprison anyone indefinably without reason or trial.  It is estimated that the number political prisoners is well over the 30,000 mark.  Looking at the Human Development Reports, Reporters without Borders, Index of Economic Freedom or other rankings of countries will show that not only is Egypt below average on a whole but also below average for the region in the way of personal and economic freedom.

As I stated in another thread I fault Obama more than I do Bush.  Bush was pushing Mubarak to open up elections.  I have a feeling that all pressure was removed when BHO was elected.
