I actually heard it on a radio news report.  The two people traveled from Liberia.

It is also present in the Chicago Tribune.

Ebola or not - this is going to go on and on, costing a gazillion dollars.  Much easier to restrict travel.

CDC: Passenger from Liberia Hospitalized in New Jersey for 'Potential Exposure to Ebola'

Chicago one day, New Jersey the next.

Point is, this is going to go on everywhere they are allowed in.

Need a travel ban, not this piecemeal nonsense.

Based on the lack of coverage the last couple of days one would think Ebola has been cured.

Well, it looks as if Ebola Death Panels could very well be in the works.

The 'important' politicians need not worry, though. I bet damn sure they'll go to the head of the line for treatment.

Ditto.  You don't hear a whole lot about much right now.  The MSM is becoming silent...trying to do as much damage control as they can before the election.    11 days and counting ...

Officially tested positive, huh? That's not good. Bowling and Uber the night before too. Let's see how the left downplays it this time.

No big deal. I just heard on a news conference from NYC that Ebola is a 'very difficult disease to contract'.

kit saginaw

Well, since obola's been confirmed in NYC, now it's just a race to produce something resembling a vaccine.  No more special hospital this, special hospital that rhetoric.

Oh the Irony. If it's so hard to catch, then why are all these professionals, well versed in the dangers of the disease, becoming victims of a "very difficult disease to contract"?

WHO has reported that the number of Ebola cases could easily reach 10,000 PER WEEK by December!!!
With that information, there is absolutely NO reason why we shouldn't close our borders and restrict travel from the areas in Africa where there have been Ebola outbreaks; especially Guinea, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal and Sierra Leone.  Secondly, when a health care professional or military personnel who has worked with Ebola patients returns to the U.S. they need to be quarantined and tested for Ebola for a least a month before re-entry into the general population.  Third WE NEED TO CLOSE OUR DAMN BORDERS period and announce that those individuals who are caught coming into this country illegally will be returned IMMEDIATELY with absolutely no change of citizenship.

I wonder if there has been an attempt to rid the affected areas of bats?

"Ebola was discovered in 1976 and was once thought to originate in gorillas, because human outbreaks began after people ate gorilla meat.

Scientists now believe that bats are the natural reservoir for the virus, and that apes and humans catch it from eating food that bats have drooled or defecated on, or by coming in contact with surfaces covered in infected bat droppings and then touching their eyes or mouths. The current outbreak seems to have started in a village near Guéckédou, Guinea, where bat hunting is common, according to Doctors Without Borders." 1

This doctor was irresponsible running around NYC after such close contact with Ebola.  He should have SELF quarantined for a few weeks.

A travel ban is necessary for coming IN TO this country.

Rush asserts it's all about illegal immigration upcoming amnesty.  He feels to close borders ANYWHERE interferes with the plan.  That it looks BAD to close borders anywhere.

Well, ANOTHER physician who treated Ebola patients in Liberia flew into JFK yesterday. He stayed overnight at a Hilton hotel and was then allowed to fly home to Kommiefornia.
