The Dims stand down on on Dream act if certain pubs will sell out for DADT.

I'm trying to figure out the lessor of the two evils and I guess DADT is it. Still a lot of ways to discharge gays... I wonder if they have that catch all from my day..."inability to adapt to military life."??????

A "political triumph" for the Democrats?  It was BILL CLINTON who started the whole "don't ask, don't tell" military policy 17 years ago!  Funny how the lamestream media doesn't mention that fact.

Anybody taking bets on what the percentage of increase will be in "friendly fire" accidents and aggravated assaults in the military?

You're right, the Navy, Coastguard and Air force will grudgingly bend for this, but the Army and Marines won't go down without a fight.

Psychologically, Gays can't stand the heat. Little Miss Manning is a prime example of that. They gravitate toward desk jobs and Admin where they can wear a pretty uniform, network and act important.
"forcing" them to do anything other than that and they will be running to the army supplied therapists to complain about the stress they are in.

You aren't going to find too many of them in combat.

Pepe, you have to understand that the ONLY reason why Snowe and Collins are in the U.S. Senate in the first place are because they are RINOS.  Maine is a VERY blue state, even though the idiot voters in Maine did come to their senses and elect a Republican governor and legislature for the first time in 30 years.  A true CONSERVATIVE wouldn't have a snowballs chance in hell of getting elected to the U.S. Senate in Maine.  Both of Maine's U.S. House members are bed-wetting liberals, and they both easily won re-election in November.

   Thankfully the dream act didnt make it "YET" the homo military..bah as a vet Im utterly against it....but its a new day...40 yrs later and alot different attitudes...Collins and Snowe might as well changed the R to a D...but they arent getting unelected anytime soon

by repealling don't ask don't tell unless other legislation legalizes gay service shouldn't things revert back to the old days!! Unless the UCMJ is revised homosexuality is still illeagle in the armed forces!!
