All bills that include more spending get shredded.
Little over the top, But a good start.

If we were to take cutting our military off the table, we could cut the rest of this mess by at least 50%, and nobody would even notice the loss.

Well of course. Plenty of cuts can be made, without cutting troop levels or having them properly armed and ready for conflict.

Do you really think that's isolated to just defense buying?
That is repeated across the board, just wait for when the investigations are complete over the Green energy failure, it'll make that hammer look like a bargain.

Maybe. I'd really like to know how many voter machine malfunctions there were. They seemed to crop up only in the swing states.

Some republican voters had to re-enter their vote up to 3 times before the machine would accept it and not switch it to Obama.

How many didn't check?

I asked the same question, Kramarat, when I heard about the machines Tuesday, and how many didn't review their ballot before pressing the Vote button?  I also wondered if it changed the vote to Obama's name after the Vote button was pressed.
We'll never know!  I know there's no way that there are that many stupid or ignorant people in America, that they would vote for the same thing we have had for 4 years again

And I heard on Fox Tuesday night before the polls closed, that two people were caught and fired for allowing a big number of illegal voters to vote........although they said they had no idea how many of them had already gone through and voted.   The alert said that one person allowing them to vote was a Rep. and one was a Dem........now does that make sense?

I am going out on a limb to say that Obama wouldn't have been elected if "FRAUD" hadn't been rampant Tuesday Night and ever sense early voting started.  One lady working for the Dem. was caught filling in some paper ballots.   That was also on Fox.........because I don't watch the other democrat leaning channels.  Unless it was while I was switching to try to find the elections resullts on WSPA for Spartanburg.
And then learned that Spartanburg was having trouble with their machines also.......like I say.........The Election Of 2012 couldn't have been accurate with all those mistakes

I agree. AGAIN I ask, if Romney CONSISTENTLY drew TEN TIME the numbers Obama did, and ours were voluntary, and Obama's were the unioins and such, HOW could Romney have really lost?  I just wish someone could EXPLAIN his loss.  Makes no sense at all.

I'm combining this information with the uncannily accurate outcome from the CBS affiliate on Oct 19, before the election.............and I have to ask myself: Could this possibly tie in to Obama's performance in the first debate? He seemed bored. As if he really had no reason to be there.

I'm enormously tired of hearing that crap. A screwdriver for use in a B-52 - an aircraft that was flown by the grandfathers of the current pilots - isn't normally found at Home Depot. And the military usually has some pretty stringent specifications for it's equipment, cause you can't pop down to the nearest Ace Hardware for a new set of wrenches in Afghanistan or the middle of the North Atlantic. I remember a Senator Proxmire, he always used to make a big issue of how the military "wasted" money. One time he brought up some stupid study the military wanted to do on "How Societies in the Middle East Were Effected by Their Religious Leaders". But he "saved" us from that "waste". Too bad, with any luck we might have seen the Islamists coming.

Yeah, but remember Giles, there's no such thing as a $500 hammer. It requires 50 different pieces of paper and 150 civilian government employees to complete the acquisition of a $30 hammer. Many of them are in place to prevent government waste.

I worked in the main engine room while I was in the Navy. Most of us just brought our own tools and used them. Wrenches, sockets, ratchets, screwdrivers, etc. They worked just fine.

YES!

No, please do this.

I swear.
It really isn't a bad idea, we do it with children all the time, let them eat all the candy they want, they quickly learn it wasn't as good as they thought it would be.
