Now, picture Walker doing this.....
I make the comparison because there is none, Walker does not energize a crowd, simply because Walker is a result of a Conservative Legislature, a figurehead, he by himself has accomplished absolutely nothing by comparison to Cruz other than getting elected and it's beginning to show.

Translation: he's boring and a one-note song.  How many times to we need to hear about taking on unions.  Christie dd that and does anyone seriously want him as the nominee?

Exactly! Even a RINO can be right on some issues.

This is very interesting, the Cruz method, as it unfolds. My guess is that he has received donations and enthusiastic support from the Sun Belt. If he can make Texas and the whole South East USA Cruz country, why, then, he has a strong base of support to count on in Super Tuesday, while the others are out screwing around in Iowa and New Hampshire.   So, we keep an eye on that bus. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him gut the heartland -- those states that lie between the big muddy and the Mississippi. Right straight up from Louisiana to the Dakotas. That will make an impression on the sparsely populated Rockies, NV, down into Arizona.
I'll grant you, that strategy would not account for the population and wealth centers, but it would, in a sense, reward the red state people for past support.
All the while, he could hammer amnesty and Obamacare.  Obamacare is really little more than buying votes in the big city welfare centers -- Cleve, Chi, NY, Bos, Phil, Atlanta.

Cruz needs to hit Florida hard! Rubio and bush may be the local boys but I think their support is soft! If Ted could pull Florida out from under Jeb It could cripple both Bush and Rubio! If you can't carry you home state you might as well get out!! Ask Al Gore!!

Yeah, I would love to see Ted go to Florida.  I think he would really stir things up.  He is really very different than Jeb and Marco.  He is more believable!!

I know he's despised by most, and he's not my first choice, but I like Rubio especially when the choice was Rubio or Crist. Yeah, he really blew it on ILLEGAL immigration, but we can't throw out everybody but the perfect. We're moving in the right direction. Our efforts should have been directed towards boner and McConnell.

No one is perfect.  Therefore we would have no candidate if that was our criteria!

My criteria is "track record".  Who has kept their promises to the voters?  Who has been consistent on the issues without flip flopping?

So far, I have only found one.  Ted Cruz.  Imperfect but trustworthy!

I haven't found anything about him that I disagree with.

I agree with his ideology, and especially the way he carries himself -- class and dignity.

Not only can we, but we must. Had we done so in 2014, we'd be rid of McCONnel.

Ted WAS for TPP (Obamatrade) but Donald Trump persuaded Ted to oppose it.

Ted's not perfect, but I think he's as close as we can get.
Here are the 10 RINOs who voted to impeach Trump on Jan. 13, 2021 - NEVER forget!

'Flat-out lie': Cruz calls McConnell a liar on Senate floor

No, McCONnel lied to Cruz about TPP.

An extraordinary scene unfolded on the Senate floor Friday as Republican Sen. Ted Cruz bluntly accused Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of lying and said he's running the Senate like his Democratic predecessor.

The charges from the Texas senator and GOP presidential candidate were a rare departure from the Senate's usual staid decorum, even for a politician famous for his fiery speeches.

At issue were assurances Cruz claimed McConnell, R-Ky., had given that there was no deal to allow a vote to renew the federal Export-Import Bank -- a little-known federal agency that has become a rallying cry for conservatives. Cruz rose to deliver his remarks moments after McConnell had lined up a vote on the bank.

"It saddens me to say this. I sat in my office, I told my staff the majority leader looked me in the eye and looked 54 Republicans in the eye. I cannot believe he would tell a flat-out lie, and I voted based on those assurances that he made to each and every one of us," Cruz said.

"What we just saw today was an absolute demonstration that not only what he told every Republican senator, but what he told the press over and over and over again, was a simple lie."

Reports had emerged earlier this year that McConnell privately pledged a vote on the Ex-Im Bank, in exchange for winning support on President Obama's trade agenda. Cruz says he was assured at the time there was no deal.
