Yesterday I had two different posts disappear. One was a reply to an existing post in which the poster used some bad language. When I clicked to post my reply it was wiped out.
What I wonder is,if the original post was also wiped out.Was my post wiped out because of someone else's bad language?

My other post was in reply to the thread about Jimmy Carter.Maybe it was a little long. When I tried to post it,it also disappeared. Is there a word limit for posting?

That would be a question for Solar. He handles the technical side of this.
If you believe big government is the solution then you are a liberal. If you believe big government is the problem then you are a conservative.

I have no filters and no one has deleted any posts, that's our policy, to be heard.
I will run a recovery program, but if the site didn't receive the post, it won't be able to recover it.

I had the same thing happen, I sent a post, but my server didn't make the connection, so when I hit reply again, nothing happened and the post was lost.

I will check with support to see if this is a bug, or our server or a fluke.

Hmmmm   Darwinist is around yet lurking, so your post could not have be that bad or long.   ;D  ;D  ;D

That happened to me, too.  Then somehow or other I realized that I wasn't connecting to the original page of this website.  I was going to something called Unanswered Something-or-Other for this site.  I then made certain I was connected to the actual first page which included threads I'd answered and then put that in my favorites instead.  Good luck.  Hope that makes a bit of sense to you.

Glad to see you here.

The first thing to do is check and see if the little red notice that another post has been made while you are writing yours. That wiped out one or two of mind before I caught on to the problem.

To me, that is a shortcoming.

Me too, I lost one that way.
I need to get rid of that crap, it's nice if it is a slow thread, but if it's hot, like last night, it's a headache.

I got hit with that message four times in a row, before I was able to post.

I saw his comment about my own post being the longest he's seen since the days when he LAST declared victory just by showing up. Being at least four years out of date on his information is soooooo typical of Darwhiner. I usually now "write long" only when I haven't got the time to go back and edit.

Only problem I am having.  I cannot see what I am typing most of the time and I hit post before checking it out.

That's one thing I want to change as well, is have the cursor immediately start after quote.
I start typing and look up and see nothing, all because I didn't click on the window.

More changes to come. ;)

You can use the screen enlarger by hitting CONTROL MINUS (-) key to reduce the screen size OR hitting CONTRO PLUS  (+ )  key to enlarge your screen size. Try that it may help you.
