L.A. Prosecutors Charge Nine People in Skid Row Election Fraud Scheme

Prosecutors have charged nine people in Los Angeles for allegedly bribing homeless people on Skid Row to get their signatures on ballot petitions and voter registration forms, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office announced Tuesday.

According to prosecutors, the defendants allegedly offered homeless people $1 and/or cigarettes for false and/or forged signatures on the petitions and voter registration forms.

The alleged offenses played out hundreds of times during the 2016 and 2018 election cycles, according to the Los Angeles Times.

The defendants are facing a dozen felony counts, including circulating a petition with false names; use of false names on a petition; voter fraud, registering a fictitious person; and registering a nonexistent person.

I keep hearing this morning and last night about Trump being told early on, that he shouldn't / couldn't investigate Clinton and Comey, it would be "abuse of power".  This was supposedly from White House counsel.

This doesn't even make sense; the dems and MSM can claim anything & everything the guy does is abuse of power.  He then, literally, could never do anything.  Surely it didn't actually alter the approach to any of this .... did it  ?  Surely he didn't take any of this seriously ?

It could never be "abuse of power" to prosecute real, provable crimes.  What the hell kind of idiot, unless it's Avenatti, could ever make such a claim with a stright face ?

Hopefully this is just one more "keep 'em complacent and arrogant while sneak up on 'em".  Right now we're at the crossroads of the country surviving or not surviving.  If this merry band of assholes is allowed to reconstitute after a 4 or 8 year layoff, we will not survive.  They missed their revolution by inches this time.  They probably won't, given a nice open road again.
