I thought the FISA Application started with the AG and then moved to the higher court? So it will definitely have her fingerprints all over it, Lynch/Holder. The questions being raised, is one of, did she somehow usurp the authority of the FISA court and rubberstamp an original warrant to keep it alive?

There is a "Section" in each US attorney field office that deals with various specialty crimes....one for "Mob" activity (often refered to as the "Pizza Squad"  ) one for Drugs  (a BIG one until CLinton was elected) There was one for the FISA warrants. Which at that time was a big dead end.   So if you had a "Drug" warrant, you had to go to the "Drug" section and find a "Drug" US Attorney if it had anything to do with the Target of an OCDETF you had to go to the SECTION HEAD (It used to be that asshole Holder)....Then it would have gone to the Head USAO for the field office. THE AG was briefed every week about warrant application of this caliber by the Field Office Chief.

No matter what, Lynch would have known about this warrant, even if initiated by an Underling way down the line, it would have HAD to gone up the Chain of Command. And if she knew about it either from the Weekly briefing or from the Section Chief head directly (which my money s on) then she approved of it if she didn't Kibosh it.

This might explain why Roberts was brought in for questioning, considering he was one of the FISA judges. What did he know?
