Tea Party Republicans contemplating a bid to oust Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) shouldn't count on Democrats to help them unseat the Speaker.

And without their support, there is no chance to topple Boehner in this Congress.

A number of right-wing Republicans, long wary of Boehner's commitment to GOP efforts attacking President Obama's policy priorities, have openly considered a coup in an attempt to transfer the gavel into more conservative hands.

If that doesn't tell you all you need to know about Boehner, I don't know what does!

Want a new speaker? Ok fine great! Just get the people of his district to elect someone else. Swear to God I would run against em myself if not for my bad health...Oh and one more thing, the majority through the electoral process elects the speaker. Should that same majority elect someone else to that position it is not a coup. It is your government working within the law and in accord with our Constitution.
One of every five Americans you meet has a mental illness of some sort. Many, many, of our veteran's suffer from mental illness like PTSD now also. Help if ya can. :) http://www.projectsemicolon.org/share-your-story.html
And no you won't find my "story" there. They don't allow science fiction. :)

Absolutely!

All during the last election cycle, I was encouraging people in his district (and McConnell's state) to VOTE FOR THE DEMOCRAT!

Better to have a moderate Democrat freshman Senator/Congresscritter, than a RINO traitor Speaker of the House/Senate Majority Leader!

I'm not questioning your sincerity, but I don't remember you posting your support as Taxed and I were all over this forum stating that McCONell needed to be replaced with a Dim.

To us there were no other options, yet we caught shit from every angle. People were willing to sacrifice principle just to give rino the Senate, when we were telling them we had a lock on the Senate without the rino, and that one seat was not a make or break proposition.
And look what we wound up with anyway, a literal coup against Conservatives.

If this doesn't teach our side a lesson, nothing will. People need  to understand, the rino Establishment is the enemy, and the Dim party is completely irrelevant to 2016.
We need to hold to uorr principles and vote TEA, regardless.

The Hill has about as much credibility as the Huff n Puff Post!

They want to fan the flames of discontent and create as many obstacles as they can to the Republicans ever uniting for a commn cause!  (Accentuate the Negative...Eliminate the Opponant to whomever the Marxist candidate will be.)  True enough we have our problems within our party...but look at the problems within their own!  AND THEY ARE DEMOCRATS ON "THE HILL"

The MSM can't be allowed to choose our candidate or "help" us with our problems, within 'our party'!

As BiBi said abolut Iran and Isis ..in this case, too..."the enemy of your enemy...is your enemy!"

"Earlier this week we discussed in our article "Jeb Bush, John Boehner And The Anti-Reagan Republican Establishment" the viciously personal and bizarrely antagonistic attempts by Speaker John Boehner and the Republican congressional leadership to marginalize members of the House Republican Conference who do not hew to their Big Government – Big Business agenda.

Boehner stripped liberty-minded Representatives, such as Tim Huelskamp of Kansas and Justin Amash of Michigan, of their committee assignments and his leadership team went out their way to marginalize any member of the GOP conference who was not a team-player for Boehner's Big Government surrender caucus.

And it has now been revealed that Boehner's former Chief of Staff, and closest political and personal confidant, Barry Jackson, is a principal in an operation that is funding attack ads against conservative members of the House Republican Conference, including Huelskamp, Rep. Louie Gohmert of Texas, Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma and Jim Jordan of Ohio.

Setting aside the possibility that this represents an unlawful coordination of effort between the Speaker and an outside group to attack members of his own Conference, it demonstrates just how corrupt the House Republican leadership has become through the establishment of a revolving door between Capitol Hill Republican insiders and the big money interests who have spent billions backing the open borders policies that are destroying the American middle class.

But it gets better – or rather worse..."

You know if I was Nancy Pelosi I would do the same thing to drive a wedge in the opposition! I don't believe for a minute the Boehner has a secrete agreement with her! The only power Pelosi and the dim's have in congress is to attempt to divide and conquer! Remember this whole thing did not come from Boehner failing at his job but rather the RINO's in the senate failing to do theirs!
We lost this issue when the senate sent it back to the house after splitting the bill. My problem is not with Boehner that did his job with the first bill but more with McConnell and his RINO buddies that failed to do theirs!!

I argued with you and Taxed a couple times during the election because to my taking the senate was the most important thing! Just wanted to say after this last crap I put right on his doorstep It appears I was wrong about McConnell. On the other hand The RINO's in the senate would have just put another like him in the leadership!

your post is from a conservative blog, citing a "Politico" article.  Polito, the Hill, the Huffington Post, The NY Times, etc. are creating as much disention within our party as they can.  It's no secret there is bad blood between copeting factions within our party; when has there ever been a time when there have not been competing wings of our (and any) party!  A Liberal rag could lift a post out of this site and fit it into their anti-Republican template!

If you shoot at the King; you've got to kill him.  We saw that none of our folks were successful in getting rid of Boehner just a month ago.  What makes you think it's any different now.  We have to mend fences and get back to the work of getting our agenda through (even if our Leader must be dragged along with us).

If we're attacking him, why wouldn't you think he'd hit back?  Don't fall into the trap of the Liberal Media, "faming the flames of (our) discontent!  (don't you think Boehner's jsut as frustrated and 'discontent with us as we are with him; time to pull it together guys...doesn't mean we gotta swap spit with him!)

Point is, it would have been, not only one less rino, but a top general in their force, removed entirety from the battle..
