We settled in North Jersey in the mid eighties. My mates and I used to take the bus into Manhattan to play basketball and shop along Canal street. It was great but you took your life into your own hands. So, I saw first hand what it was and what it became under Giuliani. By the mid nineties it was great. Safe and clean. Today we are back to 1975.
