I was going to attach this article with the one stating "Trump Pulling Troops From Syria" but IMO it's so damn good I thought it should stand alone.

Now I read a lot of articles on Trump pulling the our troops from Syria and to be honest none of them I agreed with until now. Charles Hurt of the Washington Times writes an article for Breitbart and he nails with the truth and I'm finding myself in agreement with him.

Excellent read.

D.C. Swamp Update: Establishment Insists USA Fight in Syria Civil War

Why is it always foreigners who manage to unite all the politicians from both parties in Washington?

Illegal aliens — I mean "Dreamers." Haitian boat people. Olde Europeans. Sudanese. And now the Kurds. It is never support for regular Americans that brings politicians from both parties together.

Even military veterans seem to offend half the politicians in Washington. Democrats in Congress would give illegal aliens free health care before they would give it to our wounded veterans.

People sleep peacefully at night because there are a few tough men prepared to do violence on their behalf.

A foolish man complains about his torn pockets.

A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.

Okay. Trump should do it.

He should provide the DC establishment with weapons and put them on a plane and send them to Syria to fight.

I would call that a no lose battle. If the Syrians win then we win. If the Syrians win then we win.

I don't have hard feeling against so many on our side who disagree with this move and see it as abandoning our allies.  It's a tough nut and I'm sure I'm not the President. The asswipe Erdogan has been cozying up to Putin though and President Trump is far more sophisticated than others give him credit.  A minority of the Kurds support us, many others are hard line Communists, while some of the Kurds are Terrorists who have been engaged in their separatist movement against our NATO Ally, Turkey.  President Trump knows that the world, including the Middle East, will be a safer place if the Strongmen of the Middle East take charge of controlling the chaos within their own borders and that of their neighbors.  The only way we get out of this cesspool is if others take charge and such 'others' need to be our strong allies!  The US ought never have abandoned our strong ally, the Shah of Iran!  Even if he was a barbaric Thug, he was on our leash and the Middle East was a far safer place than it is now!

Agree! It's why we should left Sadam in place as dictator of Iraq, he was keeping Iran in check.

The question is what do you consider an ally. The Kurds were the enemy of our enemy not our friend. They are Muslims that treat Christians the same as the rest of the Muslims in the region.
Russia fought with us in WWII but that did not make them an ally.

I don't think there is much of a question for debate whether any member of NATO or any other treaty which provides for mutual military assistance, is an Ally!  It is a relevant topic whether or not we ought to remain a partner in this Alliance, though.

We have no formal treaty with this Organization of Kurdish tribesman.  They may be friends who have fought along side us, just as some organizations did within the occupied allied nations that the NAZIS had invaded during WWII.  Many of these freedom fighters were enemies of their own governments, who were our allies.  It's a dicey situation.  However, an alliance is a treaty and we have treaties with nations, not with organizations within minority communities of sovereign nations.

The swamp called Syria. The country where the USA has (and had) nothing to gain because all sides were (and are) bad. Under Obama and Kerry the USA ceded Syria to Russia.
