Title: CT Gov. Tells Officials Not to Follow Federal Immigration Law
Post by: Solar on February 23, 2017, 02:32:08 PM
President Donald Trump moves forward with a campaign promise to crack down on undocumented immigrants, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy is reminding school and law enforcement leaders that they don't have to enforce federal immigration laws.

The governor's administration sent memos to school superintendents and chiefs of police this week with recommendations on how they should respond to requests from the Department of Homeland Security and how they should interact with agents from Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Groups that work with undocumented immigrants praised Malloy for reaffirming a commitment to that community in the wake of memos issued by Homeland Security describing sweeping new guidelines to ramp up deportations under an executive order Trump signed last month.

"The message is loud and clear, the state of Connecticut will not allow the Trump administration's racist and xenophobic actions to destroy our community," Ana Maria Rivera-Forastieri, director of advocacy at Junta for Progressive Action, a New Haven-based organization that works with Latinos, said in a written statement.

Sounds like Connecticut is about to lose their federal funds. Maybe Ana Maria Rivera-Forastieri-Illegalla-Immigrantial-Defenderoso can fund Connecticut. Oh - wait ... she won't have a paycheck when they face the facts of life.

Soooooo LOL
Gov. Dannel P. Malloy think he is above Trump.  This is going to be a fun time as Boo would say.  I do not think Trump will play his silly game.

Stupid or braindead? Whatever the cerebral damage he suffered, it's beginning to take its toll.

That's fine. First they should lose any federal money, then any crime committed by these vermin and the federal government should arrest the governor and the local police officers as an accessory.

This is an open invitation for illegals to flood CT. It would be interesting to see what the reaction of the tolerant left citizens of CT would be with an influx of illegals?

Exactly, see if local police locked up two guys for the Federal crime of Bank robbery(You could substitute that for ANY other federal crime) and the Idiot Gov issued a memo saying, "WE WILL NO LONGER ENFORCE FEDERAL LAWS AGAINST BANK ROBBERY" Let them go, and they did, both he and the officers who carried out such "order" could be charged.

The AG needs to make an example of one of these fools

I vote we build a pipeline from Conn. to Mexico with American Steel that illegals can travel through, get Mexico to pay for it, and build a wall around  Conn.  It would be interesting to watch New Haven react to that. Ever see escape from New York?

You'd have to build a wall around conn, thats the problem with these "sanctuary cities" they serve as bedroom community enclaves in which criminals can live unmolested and venture forth to neighboring States and commit all sorts of crimes then beat feet back to safety. We are a very mobile society, that means the criminal element is just as mobile.

Passing a federal law to fine or jail employers for hiring illegals, prohibit loans and bank accounts to illegals, welfare benefits, no renting to illegals etc or in other words be like most of the other countries of the world regarding immigration, a few of which I've been in with a Visa or otherwise legally.

Well, not as many jobs, but that's a (virutal) wall we could actually build!
