We had the same opportunity, and turned it down. We are running directly into, what Canada is successfully running away from.
"We had the same opportunity" Ya like 30 years ago.
What do you think Reagan started?
Canada is NOT running away from Universal Healthcare and regulations.

Canada is the perfect example of how regulated capitalism works!
We should be doing the same.
The housing bubble didn't hit Canada, due to regulations on Banking and Mortgages.

Cleaning up burdensome and redundant regulations, sure we need to do this.

Let the Banking industry, regulate itself, like Romney wanted, NOT a good idea.

You're slipping off into fantasy land.

Romney never said anything about eliminating regulations on banks. In fact, right now, the Obama administration is giving the big banks zero interest loans. The big banks are investing the money in Wall St, bonds, etc. It's almost impossible for an individual or small business to get a loan. Obama is deep in bed with your perceived enemies............big banks and Wall St.

The housing bubble didn't hit Canada, because the government didn't arbitrarily decide that home ownership was a basic human right, and force the banks to loan money to people that couldn't possibly pay it back. This is all well established..............

Do a google search on the housing bubble, Freddie Mac, Fannie May, government involvement, etc. If you take the time to just get some basic facts about these things, maybe you won't sound so completely ignorant in your posts.
