Rate these, just two ways.

First, who do you consider #1, #2, #3, etc., your top 5 talk show hosts, conservative, liberal, whatever.
Second, who do you consider the FASTEST RISING, or best NEWCOMER of the Talk Show hosts.
(add any names not listed in this top 25 list, please!   there's got to be some more worth listening too!)

If you'd like to add, have you ever called into a radio talk show & actually got on the air?

I really don't listen to talk radio anymore.  I'm pretty much a podcast/alternative media guy.  For example, right now I'm listening to a conversation between Ben Shapiro and Dave Rubin on YouTube.  When I listen to a talk show, it's pretty much Levin, Loesch, or Erickson.  I'll catch some Herman Cain if I'm in Atlanta and in my car in the morning.

Not on the list, is John Stossel, though I seldom hear him on the radio anymore, where he is tied for first with Levin in my book.
The rest on the list don't even pull a distant second.
To be fair, I quit listening when Rush burned the Conservative movement and proved to be nothing more than a mouthpiece for the Establishment Pubs..

I listen to Talk Radio and Podcasts, occasionally.   Commercials are annoying, so I prefer Podcasts... with one exception, ATN (American Trucker Network), it helps me get to sleep, much like listening to a baseball game on AM700.

1 Mark Levin - live or a Podcast, I have never called in, nor tried to.
2 American Trucker Network - I have called in, got on the air a couple of times.
3 Bill Handel (Handel on the Law) - never called in, he's funny dealing with callers, who tend to be stupid liberals itching to sue for hurt feelings.
4 Dan Bongino - only heard him a few times filling in for Mark Levin - actually listened to last Friday's Levin, a 2nd time, he is just that good!
5 Dana Loesch - never called in, seldom get to hear her on the air, usually a rebroadcast - always interesting, when I hear her.

Despite having a "boring" voice, I've actually been put on the air a few times while travelling out-of-state - usually with a joke to tell.

Best Newcomer would have to be Dan Bongino.   Love his logic and quick wit.

I'm no big fan of Glenn Beck, and really was tempted to jump on the beat-down bandwagon...  having giving it more thought, meh... it's probably growing pains.   The guy has incredible talent, useto be really funny (same with Rush) - who knows.  Right now, Dan Bongino is where Beck was 10 years ago, funny, quick wit, informative, fast paced.   Wonder what'll happen to him, if the excitement will wears off?
As one person said to me privately, reorganization is pretty common in business ... yeah, I've survived like 6 of them in 17years ... what was I thinking!?   Glenn Beck will be fine, IMO.

Same here, I don't love or hate Beck, I believe he serves a purpose, has some greats points occasionally, but I quit listening because of his emotional involvement of issues and making them public.
For me, if I get involved in an issue personally, it stays that way, personal, but Beck always has to capitalize on the pain of others, that I, as a Conservative, find extremely offensive.

That, and crying on the air. WTF is that bull shit? if one can't control their emotions in public, freakin, seek help, you damn pussy! That is not normal manly behavior and why I quit tuning in.
I won't discount Bek's brilliance, he truly is gifted and I want to see him continue a successful career.

Levin is really all I have time for and the only one left I trust to speak the truth. Savage is an arrogant ass hole and oddly enough more emotional than Beck, only Savage has the out of control anger side of the spectrum, another behavior I find repugnant, along the lines of a Howard Stern kind of repugnant.

Rush is another that lost his Conservative base due to deception. He, for decades, pushed the gop'E message disguised under Conservatism.
Tokyo Rose would be impressed.

I realize the guy isn't trolling for the dumbest of the dumb, but he's like a light at midnight, attracts them like moths to a light.

Guy's car quits on the expressway.  He pulls it into a service station, leaves a note to "fix it", and what he thinks is wrong.
Doesn't like the $500 bill and takes his time shopping around, figuring out they're overcharging him by $250.
4 days later, he finds out his car has been impounded.
He calls Handel over a month later, car still not in his possession.  (he was mad about it, and did nothing)
'The car has been impounded over a month?  You know they can SELL it to recoup their costs!'
'You're about 4 ways an idiot!'   'Always follow your emotions when making decisions' (sarcasm)

Guy says his buddy has got a DUI 4 days ago, refused a drug test, does he have any recourse?  "You're Screwed!"

Some guy buys a house with his girlfriend, a co-loan or something.  She stops paying and naturally the loan is headed for default.
Blah, blah... Why do people do things like that???   Sounds like neither one will have a credit rating left.

and on and on...  In most of the cases, it's decisions thinking like a liberal, or making decisions based solely on "feelings" (like a liberal).  And then there's the occasional off-the-wall stuff that Handel tries to maintain a serious composure, instead of ROFLMAO.

Cheap entertainment, Liberal thinkers discovering the rule-of-law... like bugs flying into a zapper.  :lol: :lol: :lol:

This kind of stuff is why I can't listen to live talk radio very often. I almost always listen to the podcasts so I can fast forward though the calls. Even on the most conservative shows, so many of the callers, though perhaps well meaning, are just clueless. There are of course good callers too but I can't bring myself to weed through them all to find them. Just my personality I guess.  :glare:
