CPF house cleaning and liberal troll tactics

A few members have been bringing down the intellectual bar of the forum.  We understand liberals have the disadvantage of being mentally challenged, so we give them a chance to either learn or discuss and debate their ideas, which 99.999999% of the time are liberal propaganda talking points mainlined directly into their brains straight from Rachael Maddow's teleprompter.  Fine.  However, when they seem to be stuck and fall back into liberal troll defensive techniques, it's time for them to go.

What are some of these techniques?

They will post lengthy parroted narratives, with links to Marxist bloggers and other dregs of society sprinkled in for support.  They rely on the length of these posts as a deterrent to avoid being challenged.  How many of us have read one of these posts, get fired up and get ready to shred it, only to look at the length of it and say "ah, I'll reply later", only to never come back to it?  The reason this drives me crazy, and why they do it to avoid a response, is the forum guest viewer who may be swayed one way or the other will read it and say "hmm, this is a conservative forum, but no one responded to this.  I guess this guy has a point."  I don't mind lengthy posts, and I actually prefer them, because we live in a sound bite society and there isn't enough meat in most articles and blogs, but it needs to be on a single topic or point at a time in digestible chunks.  They will try and cram 10 unrelated topics into one post.  The forum isn't going anywhere, so they have no reason to not take their time.

Liberals are VERY deflective and many times will go into meltdown mode over having to answer simple questions.  There are two reasons for this: first, usually what they think, or are posting, isn't their own thought.  It was parroted to them from another parrot (usually a Marxist MSM personality, or a Marxist professor), so they don't have any grasp of the topic or issue to get into the weeds of their own argument.  Second, this will usually take down their entire argument.  The more "moving parts" they try to use as a smokescreen, the safer they feel, and rely on the filibuster.  They will avoid at all costs answering simple, pointed questions, because they know if they answer a question, they are agreeing and committing to a fact, which will ultimately be used against them by their own agreement.  The last thing they want to do is build a case against themselves.

So, Vern is the first one gone, and a few others will be gone too (you know who you are).  As a troll case study, Vern refused to use the quote function, so his lengthy posts also had quotes from other posts, with just double quotes (not the shaded blue quoted section when you use the quote function), so his posts were very difficult to follow and hard to distinguish who he was responding to.  We asked him several times to use the quote function.  He also couldn't answer simple, point blank questions that would destroy his arguments.  One question that took 8 pages for an answer was "who controlled the House and Senate, and the Office, in 1978?"  He wouldn't answer it, because it would pull the rug out from his argument.

This is a conservative forum, run by conservatives (not RINOs), so we can only tolerate idiocy for so long.  As conservatives, we are open to the ideas of others, and want to debate and discuss issues. The defensive tactics above are not conducive to good debate.  This forum has really been growing (more than Solar and I thought it would, honestly), and we've been doing it not by letting lib trolls run wild, but by building conservative content.  This content includes debates with libs, so we do welcome libs to the forum if they are willing to discuss.  A liberal willing to discuss and debate for the long term are like space aliens; I'm not saying they don't exist, I've just never seen one.  We give them time, and once they take a left into Trollville, it's time for them to go.

For the conservative members, we are mostly like a Tea Party event.  We don't have rules, organization, and a manifesto posted.  We assume, as conservatives, you are civil and play nice with others.  Sometimes discussions get heated, but members who keep poking at others may be trimmed as well.  Some of us members have been posting with each other for a few years, here and elsewhere, so we may jab back and forth, but we have an established rapport.

I'm posting this for members who may get frustrated by going in circles with libs, and this is not acceptable.  If you call a lib to post their proof, or they won't debate head on, then feel free to flag them (I think there is a report option).  I'm also posting this because we really don't like to ban anyone.  We aren't trigger-happy with the banning, and want discussion to roam free.  The real reason we don't ban is out of laziness, as my ADD makes it hard to remember how to do it.  But, again, the forum has been growing (we had 50k views a day or so ago, are on front page of Google, etc), and as it grows, it requires some calories to be burnt weeding out the trolls, and to keep conservative discussion on track.

So, uh, that's my state of the union.

I read here a lot more than I post.

But I don't have a problem with the above at all.

Ah, trolls.

Most of these kids are too stupid to find their ass with either hand. They get tangled in evasions, contradictions, or just plain silence. It's fun to watch them drown. A whole lot like bagging kittens, only these creatures throw themselves into the river.

We've had a few lately that were the extra special variety, they couldn't find their ass with both hands, a flashlight, and GPS.  Seriously.

SO Vera is gone? I couldn't figure him out. Either he was incredibly brainwashed or he was playing with us. He was literally blaming legislation and policies on Bush that were actually put in place before Bush got into politics.

There is a report option.  But remember it is sent to me by e-mail at home.  I do not get it in CPF.   I check my home e-mail in the A.M.  and  in the P.M. unless I am looking for something that day.  So if it's important PM me.

I think it was a bit of both and a large dosing of ignorance to boot.
The Dims didn't get us in the mess were in all by themselves, it took a lot of RINO to capitulate along the way.
But to hear Skippy tell it, all the ills Husein was saddled with were the result of Bush, even though Husein has raised our debt 60%, it's still all Bush's Fault....

Common sense should tell him that what brought down the housing market, and then the economy could not have all been done in 8 short years.

I learned so much from him, like, the housing market didn't start until after Bush's inauguration day...

You're right, it took 30 to be accurate. But that doesn't matter, Bush had been born and all that followed, was his doing.
