Ted Cruz Is Not Shaking in His Boots

The Cruz faction is much larger than the opposing GOP forces in the state. In 2012, Cruz, a political novice, defeated the heavily favored Republican lieutenant governor, David Dewhurst, by outflanking him on the right. And Cruz easily defeated Trump in the Texas presidential primary.

The common thread in Texas is that the candidate accepted as the most conservative wins. In 2010, Rick Perry, who though he was governor never had strong approval numbers, easily clobbered the more mainstream conservative Kay Bailey Hutchison when the veteran senator challenged him in the primary.

It's possible Trump will try to take vengeance on those he perceives to have undermined him, but it seems unlikely a candidate who barely has the ability to run ads for his own presidential effort will do so for a Cruz challenger two years from now.

Indeed. Trump did so much to "support" the pro Trump candidate running against Ryan in Wisconsin (read: sold him out so quickly it made your head rotate - at 78 RPM).
"LIBERALS: their willful ignorance is rivaled only by their catastrophic stupidity"!

Donald Trump's poor handling of Hillary Clinton has more and more people realizing who was really lying, and who would have been a much stronger candidate.   The only reason Donald Trump isn't running away with this is because of Donald Trump.  His "base of support" is shrinking instead of growing - and again, that's against Hillary Clinton with her high negatives.

And "who" is getting desperate?  Certainly not Donald, he's relaxed & composed, just chugging along like a Locomotive (that's decoupling one car after another).  It's the (former) Conservative Talk show hosts vacillating between tirades, accusing other Republicans of "whatever", and trying to redefine the latest Trump gaff as something it's not.

One thing needs to sink in...
Donald Trump's biggest enemy is Donald Trump.
not the Republican party, Conservatives, Ted Cruz, Jeb Bush, John Kasich, not even Hillary Clinton!
