An old coroner friend of mine told me that 99% of deaths never have an autopsy performed, he also asked me, what is the last organ to fail when you die? I said, the heart... He said exactly! Regardless of underlying causes.
So what the family tells them is what goes in the coroners report, "Died of heart failure".
