I live in a traditional conservative district that has a massive affluent conservative right population, but all of the newspapers are left to far left, even ones considered conservative. Basically the entire print media is completely dominated by the same ultra-liberals that control the mainstream media. I know from extensive private polling that many many people would be interested in a Breitbart style, pro-MAGA local newspaper.

What sort of challenges would publishing such a paper present (outside of profitability)?

Interesting question, one I ponder quite often.
I know for a fact, if someone were to buy out say, ABC or CBS and turn it Conservative, no BS, no spin, just the truth, it would kill all the other so-called news networks.
I kind of see the same thing for local papers, but even for local papers, the margin for success is even tighter, as print media is competing against the Internet, as well as vying for a very small market.

Speaking for my self, I live in a Conservative bastion in Norcal, and I don't even subscribe to the local paper and I'm their perfect demography, mid 60s, retired, affluent, angry rightwinger...

I would suggest focusing on marketing, advertising and a quality sales team with a focus on local business for revenue.
Try and target smaller parts of the community, while encompassing news affecting several counties and State news that target said counties.
In other words, a small town feel right down to neighborhood events while encompassing Statewide issues that effect the community.
These are the things that make for reaching a wide ranging demographic, something my local paper has forgotten.

There are a lot of people that feel like you. Don't know about the publishing business but they is going to have a Conservative Convention to go against the RINO CAPAC next year in DC.  People are getting up to there ears with the ONE Party System. The backers seen to have some deep pockets and POed at the UNIPARTY and RINOGOPe but hard to say at this point if anything will develop past that. Since there are right and left wings of the UNIPARTY somehow a NEW Party has to be formed. Something like the old TP BUT with Leaders and Organization that can make it work?

What worries me far more than the logistics is being targeted by Marxist left like Seth Richards and Breitbart were. One thing that Breitbart had going was he was a fully fledged tribe member. Normally anyone on the right is going to be accused of antisemitism by default. Since I live in a Commie border state the MS13 gang wants to protect the governors drug market.

Other than that I know the audience is huge.
