Hmmm... No doctors, no need for o b "death panels" right.

Snip
WASHINGTON — Congress has agreed to a one-month delay in Medicare payment cuts to doctors, giving a short-term reprieve to a looming crisis over treatment of the nation's elderly.

Snip
"With estimates that as many as two-thirds of doctors would stop taking new Medicare patients"

This is but one of many Obama "successes" that are going to implode on The One. Starting in 2011, the bovine refuse is going to hit the fan. I'm interested in seeing who is going to be blamed by the administration and the media for that mess.

The "problem" for the Obamanistas is that Medicare spending increases are tied to the GDP.  Oops!

These postponements in Medicare payment reductions to doctors have been going on for MANY years, because Congress hasn't been able to figure out how to bring Medicare spending under control.

I'll attempt to suggest one ...... Get all of the illegals off of Medicare/Medicaid, Social Security and Public Assistance. One more thing, Repeal the law that prohibits the Social Security Trust Fund from having a surplus and all other retirement funds that the federal government has been pilfering.

How's that for a start?

Not bad, SS!

How about (drum roll, please...) sunsetting Medicare?

The "need" for Medicare was the completely predictable -- and completely unpredicted -- result of the wage freezes during WWII. Until then, most people simply had no health care insurance.  :o :o :o

Health care insurance -- or improved/expanded health care insurance where there had been something before -- became a substitute for the prohibited wage increases. It was doubly sweet because it not only got around the law, but was -- and remains -- untaxed.

When I was a kid (late 50s, early 60s), my dad and mom did not have any sort of health care insurance, even though Dad was very gainfully employed. We saw Dr. Laderman a LOT more often than I cared to, sometimes even at home! I can still recall my dad asking Mom, "Did you pay the doctor bill?"

Within the span of two generations, the way we pay for health care has been utterly, completely transformed because of the intrusion of the federal f***ing government.  >:D

So, I propose rolling it all back. I propose sunsetting Medicare AND Medicaid AND repealing ObamaCare. I want it all, y'all. :D
