If I just heard James Comey correctly, he said the decision to go public about Hillary's email scandal was driven by the Bill Clinton meeting the Attorney General on the Tarmack...!

A bit confusing, when he gave his reasoning .... but who knows where this is going.

Now, it's Mark Warner trying to create some kind of scandal.

IMO, Comey is a big cry-baby.

Question that needs to be asked, something like this:

"Mr. Comey, do you believe you could operate as FBI director - and act independently apart from political influences?

If so, why did you write yourself memos, was that because you're a damn coward, or you were withholding critical information about the Clinton investigation out of fear of reprisals?

Since you stated your tenure as FBI director is at the pleasure of the President, that you could be terminated at cause, or without cause - if you FEARED for your job, why didn't you resign and find work in the private sector when Donald Trump assumed office?

My Comey, if the Director of the FBI is non-partisan, what did you personally do to prevent your staff from partisan witch-hunts, slow walking directives and uncovering identities of Republican candidates?"

I hope they take this guy apart.   He is enabling the Democratic Party in their witch-hunt, and allowed, or encouraged through his actions & inactions the politicization of the Department.  Comey is no "saint".

Comey stated many of time how "bias" he was because of his firing. Sound like a disgruntled employee. to me.

Comey also admitted he is a leaker.....now will he be prosecuted?

Uh, Comey says the FBI never received the server from the DNC SUPPOSEDLY hacked by the Russians. But if the FBI never examined that server, how do they know the Russians were ever involved? WikiLeaks might have gotten the information from an inside source - Seth Roth perhaps - and the entire Russian collusion narrative might have been made up by the Clintonistas out of whole cloth. Possibly to draw attention from all the illegalities that happened in the Obama administration?

Trump wasn't being investigated, Comey refused to make that public, Comey is a leaker. Comey was pressured by Lynch to downplay the Clinton email investigation.

Probably Trump.

Interesting to note, James Comey was easily influenced by Loretta Lynch, yet, indicated he was afraid Donald Trump was asking him to do something (like let go of chasing rabbits down endless trails).   I understood, "...hope you can let it go..." as simple advice, like, "..that dog is dead and buried, time to move on to more important stuff..", or "..how long are you going to keep beating a dead horse?".
Where did James Comey come up with this nonsense?

If James Comey didn't have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to inside or outside pressure during an investigation - he didn't belong in that position.   Imagine Comey behind a complaint desk in a department store - someone shows up with a toaster, and he'd give away a microwave oven to make them "happy".   Maybe the guy has problems, who knows, but that's the wrong personality / temperament for the Director of the FBI.   Kudos to Donald Trump for recognizing Comey was unfit for the job - but, let's not forget, Comey was perfect for Barak Obama's agenda!

While listening to it live, my Senator, Mark Warner gets on there... and starts laying out this "Oh... poor little Comey, bullied by Trump" - crap.   If Warner wants to do Comey a favor, HIRE him!   Make James Comey the Director of Media for the next Warner campaign.   Comey likes the limelight, cameras, sounding important - but, I doubt Mark Warner would squander his election chances on a media whore.

We saw it coming, a big "nothing-burger" of a testimony.  The biggest loser was James Comey.  He transitioned from a "meh" to a "nope!"

A bit long but a good read if you have time.

OPINION: The damaging case against James Comey.

Jonathan Turley is the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University. He has served as defense counsel in national security cases involving classified information and alleged leaks to the media.

I like Turley, even though he's a lib, he tends to fall on the right side of the Constitution almost always.

No one has ever seen it. Anyone can write a self-serving memo about anything. There is nothing to back up what Comey is claiming.

Comey, when asked by the committee for a copy of this Memo said he didn't have one. he had given it to the special prosecutor. Then the committee brought up the question, that seemed to surprise him, If his friend that leaked the memo had a copy. This begs the question, Does the FBI have a copy? I thought it was written in his office of FBI equipment? Has it been purged from their system? If it wasn't done at the FBI on their equipment what kind of time stamp is on this "Memo" to prove the date it was written? Could it have been written after he was fired?

It doesnt matter if there is or isnt a copy  of the memo. I could write a memo tonight claiming  my boss offered me a 10 dollar an hour raise at  our last meeting. Does this mean my company will simply give me the raise even if  i cant back it  up and my boss denies it? Why in the hell is it  just assumed comey's dubious memo is gospel?
