Cincinnati HS kids "encouraged" to vote

From a FoxNews.com story:

The Cincinnati Public Schools system "expressly denies" that it did anything wrong when it allowed a group of high school students to be bused during school hours to the Board of Elections, to be shown sample ballots that included only Democrats, and then to vote.

And it promises never to do it again.

Thomas Brinkman, a Republican candidate for county auditor, and a group called the Coalition Opposed to Additional Spending & Taxes filed a legal complaint after three van loads of students from Hughes High School were bused on Oct. 13 to the Hamilton County Board of Elections. The students, all registered voters, were given sample ballots that listed only Democratic candidates -- "clearly with the intention of instructing [them] how to vote," according to the complaint -- before they cast their ballots.

Then the kids were then taken for free ice cream, a move Brinkman and the coalition said was tantamount to "bribery."

With our current White House occupant, I can't expect the FEC to act on this. (If the New Black Panthers in Philadelphia got a 'bye,' this ain't gonna raise any flags.) But I have to wonder why local authorities haven't stepped up to the plate.

And nothing will be done because the votes were not valid, right?

Maybe I shouldn't have called them "kids." These students were all over 18 and all registered to vote. Early/absentee voting has started in Ohio, and all these votes most definitely count, same as mine. :o

Well, the DOJ will ignore this as they did the Black Panthers.

How can this not be illegal.    How low will they stoop?  Somehow the school should be penalized and the teacher/principal involved should be fired. >:( >:(

I have dreams of a better tomorrow.. ::) ::) ::)  And I do believe the unions are doing a large part in destroying our country..

If I had a child at that school I would filing a complaint and asking for their resignation.   You gotta start somewhere. >:(

Won't disagree with you there. Who knows. Maybe there's a conservative parent in the bunch.

I actually did a version of home-schooling with my youngest for her High School.  I don't regret it at all.  My oldest graduated early to get out - they both were raised Conservative so they pretty much thought their teachers were stupid.. :)

Extremely commendable. As time goes by homeschooling is catching on big time. The funny part is that the homeschoolers are doing better on the SATs than those in the government schools.

Multiply this incident by 10,000, and you'll have the answer to the question a lot of people will be asking the day AFTER the election..........................How did the Democrats hold onto the House and Senate?
