EDIT: BTW, her maternal grandmother was the child of teenagers? I hate to break it to Chelsea, but the got married young and started producing families young in those days.

Let's not overreact to the point she was trying to make (even if it was less than rationally done.)  These kinds of sideshows are unproductive.

That said, Chelsea Clinton is a victim of her upbringing.  What chance would any kid have being raised by Bill and Hillary?  Of course that doesn't excuse her lack of critical thinking, traditional values or usefulness to society, but wow - what a way to start behind the eight ball!

The point is, she doesn't understand what she was saying. Of course she wasn't hoping her grandmother  (great grand mother?) had an abortion, but liberals aren't deep thinkers. They hate science. They can't think thru what they're saying. And Chelsea isn't a "kid" anymore. She can reason these things out. She chooses the emotional route instead.

All true.  I suppose I just don't find it the least bit surprising precisely because she IS a liberal.
