A Crime Novel...
Q, is this about Husein's rise to power? j/k,

Well, if you insist, the answer is --- no.

It's a revenge story and three-way battle of wits between an unwilling recruit and the old man seeking vengeance against a fellow spy who betrayed him during WII. Both have reason to fear an unusually lucky local detective following clues much too effectively for comfort.

Very impressive.

You should send a free copy to Ricky...

Don't know if you could send something like that in the mail without a return address.  And Rick would just love to have your address.  You and Solar are residing in his head for free even today.  You could tell from his post just last week.

One truth here, squire, is that I don't and can't control who buys or doesn't buy my stuff. Another is that my fiction is separate from my various screeds and derangements on-line.

If someone whose sole ability is to cut and paste wishes to produce their own E-book, they are welcome to do so. (Good luck on copyright lawsuits!) I worked a whole lot harder than that. It's easy to stay above that argument now.

Congrats Quiller!

Thanks.

To answer your question elsewhere, I'm contractually bound until Spring with only the Amazon Kindle version, and free to explore paperback and other formats after that. Several print-on-demand outfits exist, or I can just put my year of working for a book printer to work and design, print and market the work myself. I haven't decided.

FWIW, the E-book trend is now the fastest-growing segment of modern publishing. Print-on-demand is also gaining ground, with Kodak reportedly about to launch a series of kiosk operations nationwide, all working off --- you guessed it --- E-books.

Kindle's e-reader for Windows is actually quite good, allowing you to format the line-lengths to paperback size, or change the type to your own preferences. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by it.

I don't really know you but all the best.  It always pleases me when a creative person succeeds.  Congrats

To those who are following events elsewhere, someone who actually bought the book has already found a logic error, which will cost me to fix and does need fixing at some point. This was from someone who frankly stated he disagrees with me politically, but presented his point fairly and without rancor.

That's unusual these days on the Internet.
