I must admit I find it impressive that after having a double mastectomy, radiation, and chemo just over a year ago that she is out doing her best to beat out Boxer.  I am definitely supporting her. 8) 8) 8)

I hope you're right, but I don't think so, Solar.  People think cancer is always a killer and a fast killer at that.  Sometimes it is, sometimes not.  I have no idea about Fiorino's cancer, but an infection is a heck of a lot different than a cancer recurrence.  Her only hope of having a sympathy vote going for her is if the state believes that the hospitalization is due to an infection.  I have no idea what people think.

I pray that she recovers quickly.

I disagree, she is a cancer survivor, and many women are concerned with breast cancer.
The fact that she is still having complications, will bring out the sympathy vote from women that empathize with her.

Crack the very next poll that comes out, I bet she jumps a whole percentage point or two.

Again I'll say that I hope you're right.  I agree that the next poll will give us a clue.

Nah. More like, "She's just making it up to get sympathy votes!"

A "sympathy vote" in California for a cancer survivor?   :)) :)) :)) :))

The only "sympathy" votes you'll get in California are if you are a homo, a tree hugger, a movie actor, a cokehead, an alcoholic, or a multiple plastic surgery survivor.

Ask Mel Gibson about that movie actor sympathy, but generally the others prove my point, yes? Lots and lots of sympathy, from the Hollyweird Womynfolk....
