California judge blocks law requiring Trump to submit tax returns to compete in state's 2020 primary

A federal judge in California Thursday granted the Trump campaign's request to block a new law that requires presidential and gubernatorial candidates to release five years of tax returns to run in the state's primary elections.

Too funny! The left is throwing everything in the fire, problem is, they ran out of combustible material.
In the past the GOP would have simply turned a blind eye, but Trump shines a light on these cockroaches and the left loses every time.

Was the attempt of CA to block him from the primary ballot only? Could they still try to do that because that is a state election?

No, it's unconstitutional because it's a Federal election, and they just wanted to see his tax returns.

2 reasons for  it. One was to see his returns and the  other real reason was if he isnt  on the ballot in the  primary someone else would get the  CA delegates. If enough liberal states did it its possible he could be denied the nomination.. In any case its clearly unconstitutional as the constitution spells  out specific requirements to be  president.
