California floats threat to Steve Ballmer
« on: January 28, 2013, 12:10:56 AM »
Ballmer wants to put together a group to buy the Sacramento Kings and move them to Seattle.  So, rep Darrell Steinberg sent a letter to California Dept of General Services about Microsoft contracts.  Like most libs, he has no concept of how things work, and Ballmer is probably laughing his ass off.  Uprooting all their systems, software, etc, etc?  Yeah, sure.

Since CA is so awash in $$$$$$ I am sure a complete IT redo would not be a problem. All pols are ignorant to unintended consequences.

Oh man, I turned on Sac news the other night and this was headline, they had Mayor Kevin Johnson, former NBA player explaining how he will pull all his favors and chits to see that they stay.
Here's how it works you idiot libs, it's called a business, much like a car, you do not get emotionally involved, you do not wrap in in expensive bobbles and think it will increase in value, you cannot build it pretty buildings and think that will increase it;s value.
It's a fraekin commodity, something you buy to increase it's value, but all you bought was a damned name, the Kings, which the new owner will change to what ever they want.
What these idiot's in Sacto. bought, was a box, a big freakin package the Kings came in, they still get to keep the box, but the contents have been sold off.

So what will Sacto be left with? An empty arena in the middle of a rice field and memories.
What did libs learn from this experience? Absolutely nothing! They'll turn right around and do it again, just like they did when they courted Al Davis and the Raiders, they looked like a bunch of teeny boppers waiting at the stage door, while all the franchise holders, NFL officials and people like Trump pulled all the strings.

What is it with libs and star power, they are people like anyone else, yet libs nearly wet themselves in their presence, or get tingles up their legs.

Business is business, which is why I never got into sports, there is no loyalty in team ownership, they'll sell your loyalty down the road for a profit, just like owners sell and trade players.
Now what does that remind you of?

OK, rant off, sorry, but I have a real disdain for what sports has become, over what it originally was.
