Title: Cal-Exit - comments
Post by: Hoofer on October 26, 2017, 04:02:39 PM
Probably not going to happen.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mXAlMMMivF0

Just trying to imagine USA without California.

a.  The USA has elected the LAST Democrat President and never holds either house of Congress again!
b.  Mexico builds a wall to keep debt ridden Californians OUT.
c.  English not spoken.  Arabic, Spanish become the primary languages.
d.  Electric rates hit $1 per KWH, creating a mass exodus of ALL computer related industry.
e.  Statewide redistribution of wealth wipes out pensions, after mobs of hungry sanctuary aliens flood the streets.
f.  Jerry Brown, seeking to punish imports, places sky high tariffs on goods and toll booths at the border to enter & exit.

IMO - this is just another part of Russia's effort to sew division and distrust in America.  Unfortunately, it's working among Liberals.

If they ceded they would be broke within a year and would be bailed out by China, Cuba, Russia etc...

The US could invoke the Monroe Doctrine and CA would be up the creek further.

It wont happen because the dem party wont let  55 electoral votes slip away.

I don't even know why this is being discussed? The thought of leaving the US and losing all those tax dollars that support its socialized way of life is a bullet to the head of the Dim party, even though it's already on life support.
This should have been posted in MSM distraction, that's all it is, a distraction for the left, so they can "Feel" they are somehow still viable.

Agree if they leave the DEMS would never get elected again. They know it , maybe. Life would be Much more tolerable  for the rest of us if they would leave the US. First Mexico would invade them in 3 months after succeeding. The liberals cannot and will not fight anyone when challenged. Build another WALL to keep them there. Only down side is WINE country products would have to be imported!   :ttoung:

It used to be that every 5th parcel of land in my county had a vineyard, as of two years ago, vineyards are now outnumbered by weed plantations.

If this wasn't a total bull shit farce, I'd say let Ca go, but it's never ever going to happen, it was just a handful of Marxist Mexicans trying to steal Ca and give it to Mexico.
The State has a better chance of becoming the State of Jefferson than this nonsense.

The Left is in serious trouble, and this story is designed as a distraction from the reality that the left is imploding and they don't know how to stop it, so they generate nonsense like this to hide behind.

For them, it's better than having to admit they totally fucked up.

Imagine San Diego without the US Navy. Imagine no Camp Pendleton, no Top Gun school at Miramar, no Vandenberg AFB, no McClellan AFB, no Coast Guard base at Alameda, and on and on and on.... Dozens of US military installations just.... gone. That alone would suck billions of dollars annually out of a seceded California.

There is a petition to cut California into three states.

I can't find the damn article. I think it was on Yahoo. Anyway, The bay area up to the Oregon border would be Northern California, The coast around Los Angeles would be California and south of that to the Mexican border would be southern California. I think they have enough signatures and it will be on the ballot next year.

That's an interesting idea, 3 states...

4 additional Senators, and who knows how many more for the House, or would it just be dividing up the bunch Representatives, California has?

Weed can conjure up strange ideas, occasionally... like a stopped clock... for just ONE SECOND, they got it right.

As I remember...
There was a plan to split California into six states.
Then a plan to Divide Cal Into 4 States.
Now a Plan to split California into three separate states.
Along with a plat to split it into 2 states.

I don't think the Dem's will let them.

Never happens. The other states would never give CA fout more senators.

I'm in a quandary, do I vote yes and leave the state, or do I vote no and leave the state?

When they figure out a 3 way split *probably* would give 3-4 more Senate seats to the Pubs...  they'll shut down this down.
Liberals can't think that far ahead, it's just living for the moment, and bitching about the future.

Yeah, pretty much jealous libs pissed that the Jefferson State movement is gaining major ground, so libs think: "Fine, we'll take the entire State and secede."
