I usually take Charles' word as gospel, but I sure hope he's wrong.  I think a black conservative is an ideal candidate in 2012.

He needs more exposure. That's been half the battle for GOPers who are not committee chairmen, governors, or otherwise prominent conservatives. They fight an uphill battle for coverage as it is, against a media slavishly beholden to leftists.

Krauthammer lost me years ago when his liberal side kept popping through.
With that said, Cain has a good shot at the primaries, I think people will be surprised at just how strong a showing he makes.

*sigh* I like him but don't think he can beat Obama....idk what it is, maybe a lack of charisma...not sure.

On the other hand, you may be correct. All I hear from republican acquaintances is that Nit-Wit Mit is the man to vote for. When I asked 'Why?', everyone told me it's 'because he's sooooooo 'electable". Good grief!! Have you ever heard of a better reason to vote for someone?  :)) :)) :))

IMO it's gunna take alot to beat Obama...it cant happen with a re-run like Romney or a battle worn soldier like Palin.... a newcomer like Cain would have to be a rock star like Palin was in 08...he would have to be physically attractive too ...Cain is too average looking and has no political experience....IDK, I'm just not feeling him for POTUS...

I like that he knows the interworkings of the Federal Reserve, and knows how it should behave.  He would put Ron Paul over the Federal Reserve too, which I would be in favor of.

I understand that, but I want our candidate to have every thing going for him or her...and looks do count...

Having conservative values is obviously a requirement, but it isnt only the conservative vote that we need, this person we elect needs to appeal to moderates and independents as well...

Back in '04 or '05, I can't remember, he gave this speech they played over the radio...  it gave me an incredible shot of patriotism and gave me goosebumps... I'll never forget that moment...   That doesn't happen to me a whole lot...

I understand your point, and it is a bit of a sad reality, but, and there is a but.

Hussein will not have the backing he had in 08, and we do not need moderates and independents to win, that is what the MSM wants you to think.

This is still a Conservarive country at its core, and if someone can articulate our message, looks will not matter one iota.
