and when the call said, "Leave a message at the tone,"
he put the phone in front of the radio.
It kept recording the message as long as the radio kept making sound.

I had a special "mailbox" for unwanted calls, the recorded message was a crow call, 5 minutes of "Caw-Caw-Caw!".
In some cases, it wasn't long enough, they still left a message.
All animals are created equal; Some just take longer to cook.   Survival is keeping an eye on those around you...
