I read he was offered a judgeship back home but turned it down. I don't think he feels he is cut out for politics. You can see it in the committee meetings. He goes nuclear on political hacks.

He said he will continue his work on the Clinton Benghazi scandal via committee.

Could there be plans for Trey to head the FBI?....OR....  be the new AG....?  OR...special prosecutor for the Clinton crime family?

I think he was very frustrated that he couldn't act....ie indict.

Maybe he is just disgusted and fed up with "The Swamp"....

I think he wears a white hat, and NOTHING frustrates a white hat more than not being able to act.
