I dont see how one thinks the GOP is any better...what they didnt directly help the dems do they let stand and didnt remove it..
there are only two constant things in all the failings of the government...
DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS...
I will add that they were all college educated

Why are the Repubs better?

Three Reasons:

Repubs don't have Pelosi, any nuttier and the woman would be a Snickers bar.

Repubs don't have Obama, who's the Kardashian of politics: famous for nothing

And last but not least, three words: Jar Jar Biden

we could go back and forth all day like this...what about mccain, mcconnell, and  christie.

point is they are just men, and they come and go with the tides...where as their policy and ideology remain long after they have gone.
and truthfully the record of the GOP is only slightly better when it comes to the Constitution but still very bad

Pelosi's tide ebbing is long overdue, she should have retired many moons ago.  Yet this is one of the people libs expect to lead them to victory.

Obama, who has decimated the Democratic party, is another they think holds a winning hand. That's why most of the people Obama campaigned for lossed, right?

And then there's Jar Jar Biden, the human gaffe machine. Yep, I want him meeting other heads of state.

When someone comes along and they are a workhorse, with passionate support, it can be contagious.  I see the dynamic between the conservatives, populists, and the Marxists (McCain, McConnell, etc).  The Marxists are going to get squeezed out.

There WHAT?

Most people think its a Republican-Democrat problem. It's not, the problem trancends party lines, as its a progressive problem. The situation reaches back to Teddy Roosevelt, who was a Republican progressive, and Woodrow Wilson, who was a Democratic progressive.

Regardless of the initials after eithers name, both wanted to grow government and progress the country toward socialism

Then I would suggest the proper claim would be more along the lines of "there is such a thing as REPUBLICAN Progressives. (As opposed to the term "Conservative".)

Modern conservatism is, in reality, CLASSICAL Liberalism - the philosophy of the founders of this nation. And, due to the strongly held beliefs of modern conservatism in the principles of minimal government, personal responsibility, and rights which are derived from higher authority than government, it is the antithesis of modern progressive political philosophy.

There was also, once upon a time, such a thing a Democratic conservatives. But the D party has pretty much eliminated such horrendous, liberty-serving traitors from their midst.
