It looks like Barbara Bush isn't a huge fan of Sarah Palin. In an interview set to air Monday, the former First Lady tells CNN's Larry King that she thinks Palin should stay in Alaska.

"I sat next to her once. Thought she was beautiful," Bush said. "And she's very happy in Alaska, and I hope she'll stay there."

Laura is a Huge RINO, if she hates Palin, then that is even more reason to vote for her.
Palin may not be perfect, but the RINO and leftists hate her, that is a big + in my column.

Nobody can ever accuse Barbara Bush of being shy with her opinions.  I happen to agree with her. 

Not sure what Barbara Bush did to earn the "RINO" label, or is that what people who aren't enamored with Sarah Palin being labeled as?

For starters, pro abortion, wants gay marriage.
I would think that puts her in the RINO category.

Yes, I always get the two mixed up, but yes, Laura is a true RINO.
I think Barbara just wants to keep the Bush Dynasty alive and see Jeb make a run for POTUS.

I always liked Babs Bush. She kinda reminds me of my mom.

You'd think she'd like Sarah, wish her well and all. Maybe invite her and her family to the Bush home for Thanksgiving dinner, that sort of thing.

Of course, Mom got out of hand every now and then too...

The only thing I can think is that Barbara Bush comes from a time when being a national Republican meant being lefty-lite.

Sarah Palin, along with being politically far to the right of that mindset is also very middle class. So from the point of view of a member of America's political aristocracy she has neither the background nor the intelligence to be a player at the nation level.

Still, it was a pretty ungracious thing to say.

Yep, and thats the point, shes jealous of Sarah's drive, a drive Jeb lost, or ambition for POTUS he never had.
But she somehow sees it as a family legacy not to be interfered with.

I've always liked Barbara Bush and thought her to be the best of what the Bush Family had to offer. Having said that, she is entitled to her opinion.  We are not a monolithic party, inspite of how the left wants to characterize us.  I don't agree with her or George on this one, just as I disagreed with much of what was done and left undone by both Bush Presidents!  (Never forget that it was George H.W. Bush who ran against Reagan and called Reagan's economic policies "Voodoo Economics".  He also issued the now infamous statement, "Read my lips, No new Taxes" just before he went along with the Democrat controlled Congress and signed into law the largest tax increase in American history)
