Can the cities live with out it.  I see bankruptcy for cities and states.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions warned the nation's cities Tuesday that they will lose millions in grant money if they don't help federal agents deport suspected undocumented immigrants held in local jails.

It was the latest move in a series of actions directed at what are known as sanctuary cities, which provide less than full cooperation with federal immigration authorities.

Lets hope he keeps up the good work.

Indeed the next town over from me is one of those cities. you would think it was Mexico over there. No assimilation, just bodegas and small stores and they congregate at the Quick Check looking for people to pick them up for day's work under the table.  Plenty of shooting over there at night.

No surprise really. It's fat ass Christie's N.J.

This is a good move by Sessions. Politicians losing federal dollars always gets their attention.

Speaking of Sessions, I hope Trump settles down and keeps him. I fully understand Trump's frustration of Sessions not consulting him before recusing himself from the FBI investigation. That decision was very poor. OTOH, Sessions is a true conservative and a necessary breath of fresh air in the DoJ. Getting rid of him would be another hit to conservatives who Trump desperately needs. Also, seating another AG would be a circus when the senate has plenty of other things to accomplish.

I like Sessions, but I don't feel sorry for the way the President has been pressuring him.  If you choose to abandon conservatives for a liberal, then that's on you.

Does it seem like Trump lit a fire under his ass a little bit, or is this just timing with this?

Sessions may have his shortcomings and warts but forcing him out is absurd.
In my judgement:
* any replacement will face a relentless filibuster.
* if any vote is allowed, he won't get 50 votes.
* in the interim, Rosenstein and the holdovers, hardly friends of Trump, will decide.
Utterly brainless.

The problem with him leaving would be he is the only one in the cabinet against illegal immigration and amnesty.  If he goes, we're back to square one.
