Are We Supposed to Care About Federal Leaches?

It's becoming obvious that more than a few of the "furloughed" Fed employees now have time to troll these boards.

And that's OK by me because it only allows us to see just how useless and stupid they are.

Personally, I feel the pain of the folks who have to push their own elevator buttons.  They have more important things to think about, like where they will be playing golf tomorrow or if the government paid caddies will be there to serve them. And then there's the White House chefs.  Can't Michelle make a sandwich?  How about all the other drones at the White House.  Send somebody out to Subway.  What's that?  Then they'd have to pay?  Oh.  Then there's Congress.  Might not get their famous bean soup. Brown bag it, guys.

Bill and Hillary Clinton might not have their personal military chef and servants either.  Oh, I suppose they are considered essential.

Dwight Eisenhower had a valet who held his pants (Dwight's) while he stepped into them.  Yuck.  It isn't just Dems who manage this Imperial lifestyle on the government trough.

The Queen of England has a person who runs her bath water.  (Probably so does Baraq. )  Once, the maid got sick when with the Queen at Windsor.  The Queen didn't know what to do.  She didn't know how to run her own bath water. So, she sat on the edge of her bed until another maid was brought from London.  The Prince of Wales has someone to squeeze his toothpaste on his toothbrush.  These examples of Monarchy might be appropriate, I don't know about Monarchies.  However, when US civil servants have lifestyes which challenge that of the Queen of England, and since the US is a Republic, I say these ridiculous perks need to end.

Let them eat cake.

Here's wiki that's doing a pretty good job of keeping up with all your useless employees.

A government program or government depart may be pointless and draining money, doesn't mean I don't care about the people working within them. I'm not celebrating that they aren't getting paid.

They don't "work".  You should encourage these leeches to start caring about themselves, and to stop being a burden to those of us who do care.

Also, you don't really "care".  You care like the liberal who tries to feed the animals, while at the same time destroying their ability to care for themselves.

And there you have it, the vapid liberal confused outlook.

Your own words.....pointless and draining money, yet you couldn't be happy to be rid of it.......instead let's blubber like 4-year-olds about some perceived or fake "hurt" that really means that it should go on, and exist forever.

How is it even possible to say that yet?  It's only been two days.  You really think they can't a job can't function so much that these workers can't take vacation or everything stops immediately?

Jesus you guys are so brain dead here.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

I'm sorry, you are correct.  You haven't been affected yet, so obviously it hasn't affected anyone.

It's my money being stolen to keep these parasites alive, so it does affect me.  The parasites never had the instinct to better themselves, and instead, decided to become a middleman for a union incubation system.  Their only purpose is not to perform some job function and make our government and society better, but to provide a justification for the existence of the unions.

Amazing how you can support a system like this.

I DO care about feral leaches.

There are feral leeches in the Pigeon River in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.  Don't know if they've been furloughed.

I'm with you on this one.  It's ticking me off how some are seizing on a term and deeming an entire group as being leeches.  It stems from not really understanding government staffing and the unfortunate terminology that Uncle Sam often chooses to use.  Those that "protect life and property" are essential.  Others that don't directly do that are regrettably called non-essential which gives rise to the cheap shots that are being taken at them.

I addressed non-essential on another thread so I won't again other than to say that I work as a contractor on a military base.  I dare say that those being lableled leeches and besmirched are hard working folks being severely hurt by this shutdown.  This idea that they are automatically are going to be "backpayed" is so errant.  Getting any back pay right is one big "if".

For those who don't get it, these are people making 4 to 5 times as much as most of us with full benefits. I'm lucky to have a job and I'll probably be forced to work into retirement. I still consider myself lucky to be working.

These people lose a couple days and some if you shed tears?

Tens of millions have no job.  That's by design as Obama and the dems work tirelessly to create millions if new dependents.

Where are your priorities? Where's the skin in the game from these overpaid federal workers? The have the most stable and secure jobs America has to offer while the peasants struggle to keep THEM in the lifestyle they've become accustomed to.
I say f--k them

I way F--K them!

And, they'll get their retroactive pay after it's over, if I understand correctly.  So, they really aren't losing out.

I never use that word, but in this case I have to say it is entirely appropriate.
