They would be tracked down and prosecuted regardless of the religious belief (or lack thereof) of the prosecutors. Do you have any doubt that and Islamic prosecutor (in the U.S.) would prosecute an Islamic terrorist?

That is what we do.  That is precisely not what is done in Islamic nations.

For far too long the supposed vast majority of "peace-loving, moderate Muslims" have failed to reign in the supposedly few extremists who defile their own religion.  If the mullahs can't, or won't, rouse their moderate brethren to denounce the extreme fundamentalists, then they are part of the problem.

I don't know of any Christian person in our society who doesn't despise the actions of the Westboro Baptist Church.  We have even passed local laws regarding them and their activities at military funerals.  Large segments of our population (the Patriot Guard Riders) have acted to frustrate the efforts of the Westboro fanatics.

I see no (none, nada, nothing) such sentiments or actions in Islamic society.

Christianity did in fact move beyond the 14th century - Islam remains mired in the 7th.

I don't doubt that, in America, he would be required to follow the rules of civilized behavior.  Because that's what Christians do; and that's why Muslims and liberals hate us.

Wars have been fought between Catholics and Protestants in Northern Ireland and between Jews and Arabs in the Middle East. Today, some people (Christians) kill abortionists in the name of God.

You are damn stupid. I'm sick and tired of idiots who don't understand that Christians are not supposed to kill in the name of their religion, whereas Islam demand that it's believers kill in the name of it's religion. If you can't get that simple fact through you thick skull, perhaps you shouldn't participate in these discussions. As for the murderers of the abortion doctors, the last I checked the forces of Law and Order - supposedly the representatives of the society - hunted them down. Personally I think abortionists are little better than murderers, but I'm quite willing to let the Almighty deal with them. I will put my efforts into changing the laws that allows those murders - mostly of black babies - to take place.

That is how Christianity presents itself today. However, it is merely one charismatic leader away from becoming the next Islam. Any organized religion can be manipulated into a force for Evil.

Good men will do good deeds and bad men will do bad deed of their own free will. It requires Religion, to get Good men to do bad deeds in the name of god.

Even so, the WBC is lightyears ahead of Islamic TERRORISTS. They are only practicing "speech" (though I think they go beyond the limits of Free Speech). They don't compare to those who MURDER in the name of their religion.  In the West, only the radical Left comes close (violence and vandalism).

Seriously? You think all Christians would follow the pope if he took the path you suggest?
Sorry Darth, but your conspiracy theory is simply laughable and to be quite honest makes you sound a bit loony..

Lighten up dude.  The guy believes that Atheism is a "disorganized" religion.  And that (somehow) makes the hundred million REAL murders irrelevant, when compared to all the hordes of imaginary people Christianity graphically slaughtered inside this guy's head.

There's no reason to call his beliefs "loony."  It's 100% accurate, of course; there's just no reason anybody needs to say it.

Yes, it was a nutty thing to say, Christians don't follow man, they follow God and the bible and the law, it's also a conservative construct most are raised with.
It's just his bigotry speaking, nothing else.

Sorry, if I happen to be a student of history...

I suggest you google "Corrupt Popes" for starters. For something a little more recent, how about the "Prophet" Joseph Smith, or that wonderful little imp Charlie Manson?*

Oh, and I didn't say "all" Christians would follow a corrupt, Christian leader. But then again, not all Germans followed Adolf Hitler.

As for the insipid comment that not believing in god is, in itself, an unorganized religions, I would only ask if not believing in the Easter Bunny is also an "unorganized religion"?

-Darth

*Oh, yes, Charles Manson had a very strict religious upbringing. He viewed himself and The Family and the catalyst which would bring about the events depicted in the Book of Revelations!

Semper Fi

I am familiar with the phrase, but I am not one of its progeny.

If, however inadvertently, I may have given you the impression I was a Marine, I have to disabuse you of that belief.  I was a Navy Corpsman attached to the First Marine Division during that unpleasantness in Korea.  I was with the Marines, but never in the Marines.

During the time I was with Able Medical Company (similar to a MASH unit, absent the presence of nurses), we Corpsmen had a saying (but never within earshot of any Marines):

"The Marine Corps trains cooks, clerks and killers; the skill positions they borrow from the Navy."

That being said (and with a furtive look around in case Goose is lurking), I had, and still retain, an admiration for the courage and esprit de corps of all Marines.  In the midst of chaos and carnage, they showed a most solicitous  concern for the well-being of their Corpsman, for which, on more than one occasion, I was grateful.

Semper Fi, indeed, my friend.

OK, you're going to have to narrow this WAYYY down.  Exactly which part of that insane gibberish is supposed to prove that you're not completely batshit crazy?

You're not even just a run-of-the-mill fanatic anymore; you're just going around in an incredibly tight circle on that crazy train of yours.  Everytime somebody points out you're using exceptions to prove rules, you triple down.  And now there's something in there about the Easter Bunny killing more people than the religions of Communism, Socialism and Fascism combined?

If any part of this was meant as a joke, it stopped being funny a long time ago.

Btw, I don't give a fuck if  the forces of Law and Order - supposedly the representatives of the society - hunted them down. They still killed, the ones who called themselves Christians in the name of their god.
