Has anyone noticed the pattern of those who are "targeted" by Anonymous?

Corporations... certain portions of the military... Conservative individuals and institutions...

And has anyone noticed how the seem to be everywhere all at once and have access to just about anything and everything?

I wonder, is this really the work of an individual, or a group of individuals who are just incredibly computer savvy? Really?

Has anyone noticed that the Federal Government is not really bending over backwards to try and stop these hackers?

We all know the Government wants to control the Internet just like it controls just about everything else in this country. So far, their efforts have been foiled at every step of the way. The internet remains a wide open forum for the exchange of information and ideas. And that just drives the Statists bonkers!

What better way to get people to voluntarily accept regulation of the internet that to create a crisis - let's say a rouge "organization" hacking into people's private computer information.

The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.

The only thing I might change is the word "imaginary". I'd replace it with manufactured by the government.

Now, along with all of those questions, I've posed, indulge me as I ask just one more...

Who has a facility that can (and does) intercept every electronic communication that occurs in this, "Land of the Free"?

I would submit to the forum here, that the Government not only knows who Anonymous is/are I'd think they are on the Government payroll!

Something a Marxist dictator wannabe (of mixed racial background) would probably be a little miffed by.

In the end, whether it is individuals working on their own, or whether the government is actually running the operation itself, is a moot point. The idea is to make the Internet out to be a very dangerous place and to the the people to demand their politicians make it a "safe" place to be.

The Government (of course) will end up deciding what the definition of "safe" is.

I'm thinking there is an "Internet 9/11" of some kind in our future and that that will be what the Government uses as an excuse to enact strict regulations as to content and access.

Probably some kind of back door tax - a tax on corporation which provide internet access and/or do business on the internet. The sales tax thing is probably where it will start.

the world press and the White House, definitely was coordinated through social media.

Thats an interesting acessment, it would be just like them to create a problem that they have to fix by exerting greater control over the internet...thus communication and "free speech"

Here is what is interesting, the Pub House tried to get a bill through that would mandate more Govt and Big Business cooperation on matters of hacking, internet spying etc etc that would have been more efficient at stopping these types of attacks....THE DEM SENATE SHOT IT DOWN, Big Govt doesn't want to share ITS HACKING SECRETS and TRACING METHODS....I wonder why????

Cuz it originally was planned to coincide with that Euro futbol-star who tried to get everybody to withdraw their money from banks on the same day.

Anonymous has never recovered its former hip-status, though they did play a positive role in exposing the Steubenville rape-ring.

With all of its supposed tech knowledge and utilization, AnyMouse has never hacked into a Jihadist's website, or accessed data files of Al Quaeda, or the Taliban!

I guess the very real prospect of having one's head permanently detached from one's body, seems to put a damper on such activities!
