Government wiretapping all Verizon customers

If you have Verizon as your telephone provider, the federal government obtained a Top Secret order that Verizon must hand the NSA (National Security Agency) the phone records of every single customer. This includes everything from local calls, to long distance and international (everything.)

The top secret order was leaked to the Guardian Newspaper in the UK. You can see the order here on their website.

This was supposed to stay Top Secret until 2038, but leaks will be leaks. Ooops  :ttoung:

Basically, when using Verizon you may as well tape record your calls and email it along with your phone statements to the White House, Department of Justice, IRS, and Homeland Security.  :scared:

The order is based on Section 215 of the Patriot Act, which allows law enforcement to obtain a wide variety of "business records," including calling records.  The Patriot Act is, as we all know, really the Unpatriotic Act  :cursing:

You silly Americans!!!!!!!!!
So now tell me why would you Trust the Government? So I wonder WHO ordered this, I guess if the POTUS says he will get to the bottom of this it will go the way of Benghazi.
This is getting insane. Privacy is no more!

Is anybody really surprised by this? History tells us all Leftists regimes are paranoid and do this stuff as normal activities. Unfortunately, too many of our citizens cannot recognize the threat to freedom this type activity causes.

Well when you start out with the 47% you only need a few more folk and they think it's just dandy. Sad isn't how people sell their soul just for an Obama Phone, Food stamps, Section 8 housing and so on.

I don't know when this all started but the OBlamer News Networks are Blaming Bush. Funny how they forget Oblamer is the President and if he didn't like it he could have repealed it with the majority in both housed for four years.

Well, considering this is being done under the provisions of the Patriot Act, which was Bush's baby, I think Bush has some of the blame. The Bush administration did the same thing, but most of us let it go because we liked him or because we felt Bush would keep us safe and would not abuse that power. But the government was doing the same back then. We gave up our constitutional rights with the so-called Patriot Act.

So I think both are to blame. Bush for being the one to push this bill that stripped us of our privacy and starting the wiretapping of Americans, and Obama for continuing to do so even though he promised the American people he wouldn't (not that any of us actually believed him.)

I don't like it either way and it's wrong and I have always said so. Still my point is there was no mention of OBlamer just Bush.

When has the media blamed Obama for anything? He is the criticism-proof president.

This answers a very puzzling question.

As many of you know, I hate cell phones and never use mine for anything. Well, we got our bill, and it showed that I had exceeded my data limit by 1000%, keep in mind, I don't even turn it on, yet it showed I had uploaded everything in my phone.

Well ST got on the line with them and the guy reviewed my activity and was left dumbfounded, couldn't even find out where the data went, or who had accessed my account, as if it was done by AT&T itself.

Well, I guess it was, and I'm not in the least surprised I was targeted, considering all the crap I say on this forum, or rather truth about the commies in the WH.

Yes, AT&T caved long ago, or rather are in cahoots with the Marxist, Capitalist cronyism.

I think Michelle Malkin waxes more eloquent than I on this subject.  I find it funny that the left attacked Bush for giving them what they wanted, then they expanded the heck out of it.

So here is the real question, now that libs have been investigated too, had their phone calls looked into, is THIS enough for the left to finally wake up?  They didn't care about the IRS, because they weren't targeted, now they are part of the investigation perhaps they will wise up to the fact that they are not immune.

This is disturbing to no end... and creepy.  It's probably a good idea to begin amassing shortwave-radio equipment in case the Dems get re-elected in 2016.

It's hard to believe that Verizon is the only patsy.
