I think Trump has all this information. I don't think there's anything about covid-19 that gets by him. He certainly has an ax to grind as this hoax took down the economy that he worked so hard to improve. My guess is Trump plans on taking down the CDC the NIH and Fauci and hang them all on their own petard.

My perspective for Trump to attend these 'new conferences' was strictly from an awareness and exposure angle. If POTUS suddenly showed up at this event, it would become a news-worthy item to cover.
I believe Trumps's instinct on this entire 'pandemic' were right all along -the initial  2-week shut down and back to work and school for America's young and able. This would have put this '2nd-wave' hysteria behind us by at least a month, if it would have occurred at all.
The extended "lock-down" is the reason why these 'new cases' have probably reached the supposed levels they have.

That's my take at least.

Yep, regardless, the media was going to push a 2nd wave with false figures as we're seeing already.
In truth, Trump played them like a master, they won't be killing the economy, the people want normal and all they see is the left standing in their way.

Red States don't seem to have anywhere near the problem Blue cities and states do. Hell, here in Norcal, the virus is virtually nonexistent.
