Already chatter of outsting Ryan as speaker...
« on: March 24, 2017, 02:58:59 PM »
As if today couldn't get any better.....

http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/03/24/exclusive-discussion-gop-replacement-paul-ryan-speaker-house-intensifies-white-house-congress/

Quote
Republican officials in Congress and the White House are now openly discussing finding a GOP replacement to Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) as Speaker of the House, after Ryan failed to pass the American Health Care Act out of the House and misled the public and President Donald Trump when he promised repeatedly the bill would pass.

So now there is time to do it right.

Question...  As b o could change b o care as he liked after it was passed.  Can Trump also adjust it as he likes also until a new one is passed?  IF one can do it why not the other?  Other then now Trump is in the Republican Party.

Just as we said when he was running, before he won, The house conservatives are holding his feet to the fire! After things die down a bit perhaps they can pass a clean repeal bill with say, a 12 month lead time to pass a series of laws dealing with insurance cost. This was a good day all around! Trump wasn't really hurt by this Ryan was!

This is a great opportunity for the freedom caucus to go "in Mass" to the Whitehouse and try to convince Trump they are not his enemy's but rather his real friends on the hill if he would just follow the conservative playbook! After killing this Bill Trump was pushing if they offered support on his tax cuts and funding the Wall they could win him over away from the RINO's that don't support either!

There are a few things Trump can do, and already has, using executive authority over the various federal agencies which implement various parts of ACA. However, many of the things Obama did to adjust the law were outright illegal. For instance, he delayed implementation of the mandate twice, even though the deadlines for implementation were actually written into the law. In short, Obama CHANGED the law unilaterally - illegal, unconstitutional, and totally ignored by the dims, the 'pugs and their pet media outlets.

Trump cannot do that - not legally. And if he tried the same people who turned a blind eye to Obama's blatantly illegal activities would be all over Trump like stink on a skunk. But, his actions so far, on instructing agencies to ease burdens caused by ACA as much as they are able, also made sure those instructions stay within the law as written.

This isn't just Ryan's fiasco it is Trump's as well.  It was Trump who was praising this bill and who was trying to 'strong arm' congressmen to support it. Cruz met with Trump @ Mar-A-Lago to discuss this bill and obviously Trump didn't listen.  Both Cruz and Rand have a detailed healthcare plan and no one in the House seems to give a damn; primarily Ryan, but Trump also went along with Ryan and now he's blaming the DEMS.  I sure hope he doesn't decide to bypass the GOP and work with the DEMS on revamping Barrycare; I can see it happening.  I'm sure Trump's pride is pretty bruised and he definitely doesn't like to lose.

Trump does well enough stirring the pot. Especially considering the progs and their propaganda mill are slavering like a pack of junk yard dogs for anything and everything they can twist into a story about how "bad" trump is. He doesn't need to bend (break) the Constitution - the more he follows it, the more the progs whine.

In fact that is one of the fun things about the prog melt down. All Trump has to do is release a little piece of fact they'd rather not be let loose, and away they go, mad braying animals frothing at the mouth, spittle flying everywhere. Very fun, but if you get very close, you'll want a rain coat.

I agree...!

Here is Rand Paul health care Bill.
https://www.paul.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/ObamacareReplacementActSections.pdf

And here is the repeal Bill from the 115th Congress that then House Rep Tom Price put forth and Obama veto it. It gave us everything we wanted and let the free market take place in two years.

Why Tom Price as Sec of Health backed away from his own workable plan is crazy. IMO after his term with Trump (if he makes it that long) he will step out of politics forever.

https://www.congress.gov/bill/114th-congress/house-bill/3762

Here is an article about Tom Price's healthcare Bill.

Why didn’t the GOP try to pass last year’s vetoed health-care bill?

One of the things conservative and libertarian groups have been grousing about regarding Trump/Ryancare is the fact Congress seemed unwilling to even consider re-passing the 2016 healthcare bill vetoed by former President Barack Obama. The Restoring Americans’ Healthcare Freedom Reconciliation Act (introduced by now HHS Secretary Tom Price) would have eliminated the individual mandate, ended the Cadillac tax, let people use their HSA to buy over the counter drugs, and killed several other taxes on insurers and medical devices. It also de-funded Planned Parenthood.

Obama mewled in his veto message the bill was too harmful to the American public, because “reliable health care coverage would no longer be a right for everyone.” He also complained about the Planned Parenthood defunding. The CBO said the bill would reduce deficits by $282B, but would also cause a $5B deficit hike after 2026.

FreedomWorks’ Jason Pye sent a letter to Congress earlier this week imploring them to re-consider last year’s bill, especially if (and now when) the current legislation failed.

Well we had Boehner who never stopped tanning. Now we have Ryan who looks paler than Dracula. Perhaps something in the middle next time around like Cote de Pablo.
