I'll be the first to say it. This is only scratching the surface, there will be many more exposed because this was par for the course across the country for decades,, Singer came in after this practice had already been established.
He wanted in on the action, and sloppily exposed the entire market for what is is, a huge fraud on the taxpayer.
This was common knowledge when I lived in Sac, that if you wanted to go to the more expensive schools, there were people out there that could make it happen.

Bribing to get into a college is not the worse thing in the world. Getting a bribe in order to sell a country Uranium is a critical issue. They have to deal with the consequences since they are caught but Lori L. is not a threat to society nor a flight risk. They will be punished. I am still waiting for the justice on the Clintons.

Newt, on outnumbered on fox, just suggested that trump form a commision to examine the entire higher education system, particularly the pricing and admissions. Imagine what that could turn up.
Myabe this will be trumps excuse to get rid of the dept of education.

Wouldn't it be great if the government was completely out of the business altogether? Make it a private entity, where actual accountability, from teacher to superintendent is based on productivity in the form of test scores. The best get promoted, the worst find a new job.

The purpose of the bail system is to make sure the person shows up for trial, not to punish. Now the purpose of the progressive tax system is to punish people - for having "too much" money.

Getting the government out would do wonders. However, there is so much funding from the government to universities it is not likely. Both parties are in this. I remember I lectured at a large public university 25-30 years ago and got to know a number of the administration and faculty of the business school. The conversation was always about "funding". Consequently, all this "free" money leads to leftists leanings. One result of this is the insane practice of "tenure". There is no other industry that has this invitation to incompetency.

My unknown source says that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez wants to add Sally Fields to the list to be investigated on how Forrest Gump got into the University of Alabama.
