By golly, Nancy Pelosi was right — they didn't know what was in ObamaCare until it passed! Of course, in this case all she needed to do was ask her buddy Harry Reid, who apparently sandbagged his party's gun-control wing by inserting an interesting clause in the 2800-page bill that no one in Congress bothered to read before voting on it. CNN's Jim Acosta reveals the restriction on firearms-registration data collection built into the 2010 law:

People sleep peacefully at night because there are a few tough men prepared to do violence on their behalf.

A foolish man complains about his torn pockets.

A wise man uses it to scratch his balls.

What are the odds he would mention the law if Obama ignores it? That was nothing more than a crum to the gun owners in NV to win the 2010 Senate race.

LaPiere meets Reid at a new weapons range in Nevada?
Does anyone know just how ludicrous that sounds?

It's like opening a sand manufacturing facility in the desert.
If you've never been to Nevada, you wouldn't understand how stupid an weapons range sounds, the entire state is a weapons rangs, it's all freakiin open desert, that's why the Military does all it's testing there, there's no one around for hundreds of miles.

I'm guessing this range was funded by our tax dollars, bet it's named Reid Range...

Well, back in '86 FOPA, as its name sugests, ws intended to primarily protect gun rights by banning registries of gun owners. Didn't happen. As a compromise, Dems snuck in a total MG ban, which is enforced. I don't see why the case won't be the same.

There have long been federal bans on federal money paying for collecting this information via doctors.  There are also some interesting bans on studies about gun violence, and ability for the ATF to track registrations via computers.

It all seems silly to me.
