Bullying is a big problem in many of America's public schools. To end bullying I would have a cadet force similar to CAP, Sea Cadets, Young Marines or JROTC in every school to act as knights in shining armor to riding to the rescue to stop bullying. To ensure the cadets would not become bullies themselves they would be raised from childhood to learn a code of chivalry. As you can tell Ender's Game influenced my idea. Ender's Game is still my favorite book and it influenced my decision to join the Sea Cadets and AFJROTC.

One solution to stopping bullying is to punish the educators who want teachers to be unarmed and defenseless in their own classrooms. Word gets out that a teacher wears a ballistics vest, and instead of disarming the students they make the teacher stop "dressing provocatively." Try to break up a fight, you're fired for assault or racial discrimination or whatever other currently-acceptable excuse is given for honoring the crook and not the victim.

See, it's OK if Junior is a limpwrist in a dress, or a violent thug beating up others in or out of class --- or raping other students. But don't you dare suggest teachers should be allowed to deck that twisted punk, for that would be...discriminatory.

Corporal punishment. That's what should be reinstated in schools. And no threatened lawsuits against teachers and others for doing what needs to be done.

Huh?  That's craven and unrealistically simpy.  You physically fight bullies whenever, where-ever.  -Scared of getting hurt or something?  Big Deal. 

Bullying will never be eliminated. That's just (sad but all too real) human nature. It could be reduced if schools took and did discipline seriously and stopped punishing targets who defend themselves. The latter practice, of meting out equal discipline when the target defends himself (herself), goes back more than four decades, that I know of personally.

But I agree with moving this to the MSM Distraction/Deflection forum. This is just one of the faux-ny "causes" being used to shift citizens' attention from the *&^% politicians are doing to us. Ditto Michelle's "Let's Move" nonsense (though I would support it if the "'s" ("us") were the Obamas, and they were moving out of the White House!). Physician Michelle, heal thyself!

I think, Letting the victims fight back would be a good start.

When I went to school, fighting just wasn't that big a deal. If you got bullied, eventually you would get fed up and punch the other guy in the nose. Sure, you might get your a$$ kicked - but you had your self respect and the bully knew that he could only push so far before he got a bloody nose; no matter if he won the fight - he had to pay for it. Generally the bully would move on to lower hanging fruit.

Now the victim just takes it, then takes some more, loses all sense of self worth and eventually goes to school in a black trench coat with a shotgun and some pipe bombs.

Sad stuff.

Well, welcome to real life, human nature. Bullying is a way of life, it's how we set the pecking order, choose our leaders.
Outlaw bullying, and you'll have a sheep/lib society.

Be honest with yourselves folks, we've all done it on some level in our lives.
I like to think of myself as noble, chivalrous, the guy that stepped in for the victim, which was a code I lived by, but looking back over the years, I too have been an ass hole, not on the level of a lib, but I too have my share of stepping on toes to get where I am today, you're either a shoe, or a door mat in life.
That's life, either learn to adapt with hierarchy, or allow the left to create a bunch of sheep ready for slaughter by a nation that didn't live under oppressive PC bull shit.

Bullying is good.  It helps some weaker kids learn to deal with these confrontations, and it teaches bullies that either eventually get stomped by the victim, or as they get older the guilt eats at them and they become better people.  You'll have the few exceptions, but bullying is a path for becoming better people through the course of nature, for the bully and the bullied.

I am disgusted that people think bullying is good. You have only strengthened my resolve. I want an ROTC or another military program in every school in America to act as an anti bullying police force.

Hierarchy is human nature, it's how leaders are chosen, bullies do not make good leaders, and are generally cast out by society.
What you're proposing is a dictatorship, where leaders are chosen by those that dictate the rules.
Yes, the Military at it's core is dictatorial, which is why it should never have become a social experiment.

How about letting kids be kids and return shame and corporal punishment to schools, or simply make vouchers mandatory , giving parents a choice among private schools where discipline is enforced.

You're trying to fix a failed policy with more rules, just like the RINO trying to fix commiecare, it just doesn't work.
